The cynic in me says that the New York Times has decided they don’t want Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024. So they need to tear him down.
And/or they want him to serve just 1 day more than half a term, so Kamala can take over and then – theoretically, at least – be elected twice more herself.
Kamala is as clueless and inarticulate as Joe. But she does not have the excuse of age.
And she can probably serve for years as the puppet of whoever is really in charge over there, without noticeably sliding down the scale of dementia with each passing day.
