Hang on. Wouldn’t Omar WANT the donors identified so they can be properly ostracized and punished for supporting those white supremacist truckers including the blacks and the Sikhs etc?
How did so many people have so much more money to spend due to stimulus, when so many of them were unemployed, and the stimulus checks weren’t nearly as much as they had been earning?
And haven’t I also read that a large part of the stimulus money hasn’t even been distributed yet?
I think it was a federal stimulus program, but New Mexico gave an extra $600 a week in unemployed benefits. They also opened unemployment up to people with internet jobs like Uber, Doordash, etc. My wife did okay when the lockdown shut down travel so no one was booking her to watch dogs.
Also there was a very large percentage that stopped spending during the depths of the lock downs… Its not like they where making any trips to the pub to watch a game with buds… Or even paying rent. I think there is a large faction out there that saved a significant bankroll – possibly for the first time in their lives – and they’re starting to feel safe, and are spending it.
