Join Jim and Greg as they credit Virginia Gov. Glen Youngkin for taking on a skeptical CNN town hall on education, especially his answers on excellence vs. equity and teaching all aspects of history without demonizing groups of people as oppressed or oppressors based on race or sex. They also take a deep dive into Thursday’s House hearing featuring Twitter Files reporters Matt Taibbi and Michael Schellenberger, focusing on the alarming revelations of government collusion with big tech to muffle speech they didn’t like. They also unload on the committee Democrats for their obvious lack of preparation,  absurd demands to know the reporters’ sources, and demonizing of reporters who are well known for leaning to the left. Finally, they react to allegations that serial liar New York Rep. George Santos was part of a credit card skimming scheme in Seattle.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome new developments in two key Senate races. First, they are intrigued by popular GOP West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice seriously considering a challenge to Sen. Joe Manchin in 2024. They also discuss Indiana Rep. Jim Banks announcing he will seek the open U.S. Senate seat in Indiana, which is already held by Republicans. They also fume as multiple school districts in Northern Virginia fail to tell National Merit Finalists of their awards out of fear of making those who didn’t receive the honor feel badly. But they do cheer Gov. Glenn Youngkin for blasting the administrators in three separate districts for their decisions. Finally, they shudder as the supposed elites gather at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to decide what sacrifices we’re supposed to make in order to advance their global agenda.

Ricochet.com Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel is in for Jim. Jon and Greg start out with a tribute to our veterans before digging into why the vote counting in Jon’s state of Arizona is infuriatingly slow. Jon explains how conservatives should interpret this delay, why this process breeds distrust in the system, and why the solutions are obvious. They also react to President Trump slamming Ron DeSantis and Glenn Youngkin as his attention shifts to the 2024 campaign. However, they also notice that the Never Trump crowd seems curiously intent on derailing DeSantis more than Trump – almost as if their grifting depends on Trump staying in the spotlight. Finally, they some Marketing 101 tips to KFC after the most cringeworthy promo we’ve ever seen.

And they highlight just how partisan and petty CNN’s former leadership was in suspending conservative commentator Mary Katherine Ham for a very flimsy reason and never even telling her.

Join Jim and Greg as they serve up three more good martinis! First, they like where Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stands in his re-election bid and they enjoy watching another progressive darling cruising towards defeat. They don’t like the state of the the economy but they’re also relieved to see nearly 70 percent of Americans rejecting the Biden administration’s bogus argument that we’re not really in a recession.  And they cheer Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin for blasting Fairfax County Public Schools for failing to remove a middle school counselor for soliciting a minor for sex until almost two years after the fact.

Chuck Grassley unveils more evidence that the FBI actively covered up allegations against Hunter Biden during the 2020 campaign. And they point out the insanity of Maryland election law allowing mail-in ballots to arrive 10 days after election day – and fear this could create tremendous controversy if it happens in key races around the country this year.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin making sure there is enough police present to protect Supreme Court justices and the Senate funding more security for the family members. They also walk through the multiple factors leading to severe shortage of baby formula in the U.S. And they react to tweets showing the incoming White House Press Secretary publicly called the 2016 presidential race and the 2018 Georgia governor’s race to be stolen elections.

Join Jim and Greg as they review the latest predictions out of the Cook Political Report and  UVA Crystal Ball, which shifted 11 house races toward the Republicans. Many races were updated from ‘Likely R’ to ‘Safe R’, but it casts an ominous shadow over the Democrats’ chances of keeping the House in a critical midterm election. They also cringe at MSNBC host Nicole Wallace for calling Gov. Ron DeSantis’ education bill “dehumanizing” and comparing him and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin Russian soldiers raping Ukrainian children. And despite being even older than Joe Biden, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is considering running for president in 2024, according to a leaked memo.

Join Jim and Greg as they congratulate the Virginia legislature and Gov. Glenn Youngkin for passing common sense, bipartisan bills that outlaw formal or informal quotas on arrests and tickets by Virginia police. They also continue to be surprised at the messaging failures of the Biden White House, often with the President himself out of the loop, with transportation masking as the latest example. And despite no obvious constituency or hope of beating Donald Trump or Governor Ron DeSantis, Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger floated his name as a potential candidate in the 2024 presidential race.

Join Jim and Greg as they encourage Republicans like Virginia Lt. Governor Winsome Sears to continue to push against the Democrat’s radical education agenda and speculate that the left’s decision to insist upon controversial subjects in classrooms will culminate in a ‘Red Wave’ in November. They also scratch their heads at a floundering Biden administration that seems unable to find a way to curb the rising inflation. And after lambasting Tulsi Gabbard for putting her political career before her constituents in the 2020 presidential race, Hawaii Rep. Kai Kahele has not shown up on Capitol Hill since January.

Join Jim and Greg as they salute Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s decisive victory over forced masking in schools. They also highlight former Obama advisor Steve Rattner admitting that too much COVID stimulus is a big reason for the current inflation crisis. And Prime Minister Justin Trudeau groups a Jewish member of the Canadian Parliament with Nazis while Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar slams reporters for tracking down donors to the Freedom Convoy.

Join Jim and Greg as they praise Virginia state senators for voting to strike down school mask mandates in a lopsided vote. They also feign astonishment as high profile Democrats change their tune after failing to pass their radical agenda and the midterm elections get closer. And they analyze Chris Cuomo’s ridiculous demand to keep quiet about information he allegedly has about CNN’s dealings with his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Join Jim and Greg as they relish the prospects of Republican wins on masks in Virginia and New York. And they review the shocking numbers of illegals apprehended at the southern border and what it means for the upcoming midterms.

And they hammer the Salt Lake Tribune for suggesting the national guard should be called in to make sure the unvaccinated never leave their homes.

Join Jim and Greg as they welcome evaluations showing the GOP likely to gain seats – and a House majority – thanks to redistricting. They also frown as former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo won’t face any charges for his COVID nursing home cover-up or his harassment of women. And they shudder at the 24-hour-plus nightmare for travelers on I-95 in Virginia, wondering why Gov. Ralph Northam didn’t take decisive action sooner and why so many people are blaming Glenn Youngkin, who won’t be governor until next week.

Join Jim and Greg for all good martinis today! First, they celebrate Glenn Youngkin’s win over Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor’s race and other good news for GOP candidates in Virginia. They’re also pleasantly surprised by the very strong showing by Jack Ciattarelli in the New Jersey governor’s race, suggesting Republicans can be competitive just about anywhere next year if they play their cards right. They react to Democrats and liberal media pundits learning nothing from the election results and preparing to double down on the same failed strategies. And they highlight more results from around the country that give conservatives reason to smile.

And they unload at the Lincoln Project and its Democratic operative allies for Friday’s stunt aimed at looking like white supremacists were supporting the GOP candidate for governor in Virginia.

Virginia Down-Ticket

Winsome Sears (Serious!)

As the race for the Virginia governor’s mansion is sucking up all the oxygen, it is worth keeping an eye on the down-ticket races that will also be decided. The headline race may be a bellwether of things to come. And in fact, even a close loss may still turn a lot of heads. There is an excellent synopsis of the polling and status by Kelly D Johnston here.

But as a Virginia resident, the race for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General have just as much interest. In both cases, the GOP has nominated exceptional candidates. Former Marine and (believe it or not) electrician, Winsome Sears is a breath of fresh air. Perhaps no more than in this awesome press release photo.

Jim Geraghty is back! Join Jim and Greg as they welcome the National School Board Association no longer accusing parents of being domestic terrorists but they still have a lot of questions. They also wince as evidence piles up that an economy that should be in a robust recovery is slowing down and possibly headed into a recession. And they get a kick out of Terry McAuliffe saying Stacey Abrams was the real winner of the 2018 Georgia governor’s race after falsely accusing Glenn Youngkin for months of disputing the 2020 election results.

Join Jim and Greg as they are glad to see Virginia Democrat Terry McAuliffe admit that Democrats don’t think parents should be able to tell schools what to teach their kids. Eroding parental rights is a growing movement on the left and Republican Glenn Youngkin is making McAuliffe pay for it in this year’s governor’s race. They also enjoy watching Democrats fight over their obscene spending agenda and which bloated bill must be passed first. And they roll their eyes as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki says President Biden ignores press questions because sometimes reporters ask about subjects he doesn’t want to talk about.
