It was also here and not killing people a lot earlier than we thought. Since we have only sampled the population that got seriously ill – seriously enough to consider hospitalization, the mortality of COVID-19 is grossly exaggerated. It looks to be one-tenth as lethal as influenza. Not ten times as lethal.
