Just remembered it was at Las Vegas airport that somebody walked off with my checked bag: I was late getting to the carousel.
In that case, however, it appears that someone left their own bag behind, taking mine by mistake. The bags resembled each other – if you looked at them from 300 yards away through a telescope held the wrong way! (I suspect a little old lady was involved.)
However, my bag has a built-in TSA combination lock, so all my possessions were still there when the bag was returned to me, the next (?) day.
