Obviously Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and 1917 suffered from too much whiteness. So did Little Women, for all its feminism.

I got the impression the guys thought saying that too loud would be risky for their careers.

It would not surprise me even slightly if, down the road, we discovered that the Academy had overridden the actual vote to get the desired result.

    Feminism causes bad creative decisions?

Is that why, in a movie set in Gotham City, neither Bruce Wayne nor the Joker has a cameo? The feminist point would have remained, as long as they didn’t come to the rescue. And it would have been fun to see HQ vandalizing the offices of Wayne Enterprises.

The guys complain, correctly, that the title should have been “Harley Quinn”. But why wasn’t it? Was the studio, way prematurely, looking forward to “Birds of Prey” movies sans Harley?

Or, to please the woke, must every superhero be part of a collective?

I just don’t like Rosie Perez in anything, frankly.

Too much extraneous noise on this ep. Need to work on the connection. Otherwise, appreciate the perspective on movies and the business, and the running PSA that it has become against gout.

I wonder if the guys have seen the series from 2011 called “Love Bites?” The first episode, called “Firsts,” include a part where one of the main characters finds himself on a jet flight where Jennifer Love Hewitt is another passenger.

As it happens, she is #1 on his list of… “Hall Passes” or whatever they’re called… someone he would be allowed to have sex with that his wife would… tolerate.

And as it turns out, “Joining The Mile-High Club” is on HER list of “things to do.”

    Hilarity ensues…
