Movie critic Christian Toto joins Teri with some great ideas on shows to watch to pass the time … and maybe a few to avoid. Also, what’s up with that stupid “Imagine” video? And will Hollywood ever recover from coronavirus?

So, as @terichristoph said, we need bingeworthy series, not one-off movies.

    Bloodline on Netflix. Season 1.

Everything else was on premium networks, some of which might have 30 day free trials.

    Gee, thanks.

I’m watching Valhalla on Netflix right now — takes place in Iceland. If you don’t mind subtitles, it’s worth a watch. Also, everyone is talking about Tiger King on Netflix — it sounds pretty wiggy.

Thank you @terichristoph! I am at the age where I prefer subtitles even on English broadcasts, lest I miss subtle dialogue – and often the subtitles reveal background conversations that otherwise don’t make it out through the speakers. But I thoroughly enjoyed Occupied on Netflix, that series was set in Norway, with plenty of subtitles. Season 3 was infected with a bit of Woke McWokeness, but still was entertaining – good story of realistic contemporary international intrigue.

On my DO NOT WATCH list, I’d place season 2 of Altered Carbon. I enjoyed season 1, but season 2 just doesn’t cut it. There’s about three-quarters of an episode worth of interesting stuff squeezed into eight (8) episodes. A shame, if only because some of the acting is quite good, especially Chris Conner as a corporeal Artificial Intelligence hologram named Edgar Allen Poe.

Looking forward to bingeing season 3 of Ozark, just released yesterday, March 27, 2020.
