Yup. Stopped watching SVU years ago because about half of the shows were about awful things that happened kids. Also, agree with Bethany on the switched at birth thing. “Mother” and “Father” are verbs just as much as they are nouns. What is best for the children is most important.
Bethany, you two are just so adorable together!
After hearing reports from friends who have had chinchillas, I think raising humans is easier than raising chinchillas. Also, in law school classes, a “chinchilla farm” was always the example of a particularly sensitive neighbor that was bothered by activity that wouldn’t disturb anyone else. I would not consider an inability to keep a chinchilla alive particularly relevant to whether you can keep human children alive.
The guinea pigs we had when I was a child made the loudest squealing noises whenever we’d open the refrigerator. They were hoping we’d give them a leaf of lettuce out of it.
