New Royal Orders

James is back from holiday and has some suggestions for the Royal family: First, we need a new Order of Knighthood. Second, Harry has sent us all a hostage video and it may be time for an extraction.

Exactly what is Meghan’s hold over the Prince? Let’s put this way, we Googled the “Shanghai Grip” so you wouldn’t have to.

And what’s all this about?

The cultural portion of our show reviews the new Will Ferrell movie (How old is he, anyway?) and James is forced to subscribe to yet another streaming service. The things that man goes through for us…

Confused man wears mask? You mean National leader demonstrates good social practice? Though funny thing about that quip regarding having had the virus. Evidence is now emerging that people quickly begin to lose antibodies to the virus following infection and there are already reports of people who have had the virus several months back being reinfected. Thus demonstrating that exposure to the virus doesn’t guarantee prolonged immunity.

There are suggestions that might be possible to be reinfected after, say, six months: a positive COVID-19 test followed by another positive COVID-19 test.

One problem is we know the tests are unreliable enough that, if you test millions of people, you will have thousands of cases in which the first or the last test was a false positive. You will also have cases in which somebody simply has one long, low level infection.

However, even if reinfection does occur, the new case will likely be milder. Remember, our immune systems have been fighting viruses for 500 million years.

May I say that after having given and been invited to many dinner parties over a period of nearly 50 years, husbands and wives are never knowingly placed beside each other. I can’t imagine why Megan chose to have them sit together other than she does not come from a background of socially astute people.

A VERY short leash is required for the Recently Woke, lest one accidentally exhibit some residual bit of the dreaded evil Whiteness.

@jamesdelingpole If you and @TobyYoung are not already aware of Watch Dogs: Legion, the much anticipated Ubisoft game set in a post-Brexit police state London, you should check it out. Game industry journalists, being as myopically leftist as their Hollywood counterparts, keep remarking about how much this dystopian vision of London reminds them of society in the hands on rightwing extremists.

In settings where I don’t know anyone well, I would much rather be seated next to Mr. Charlotte. But then I am a misanthropic antisocial introvert, so wedding receptions and dinner parties aren’t really my thing anyway.

For the record, Will Ferrell is 53 and Rachel McAdams is 41.

According to the 1/2+7 rule, she is way too old for him!

That rule is for the minimum age, not the maximum.

Ferrell is too young for her? (He should be 68.)

It seems like I read all the time that some Doctor has been reinfected. Do you have a page up on your lockdown skeptics about being reinfected. It seems like antibodies go away after a few months which supposedly means that all of these vaccines will probably not work out (as far as I can tell). There is also the worry that there are a bunch of different variant strains of covid19 already and that it will mutate like the cold.

Anyhow, I hope you guys are right and you can’t be reinfected.

I like The Last Kingdom more than Game of Thrones. However, I think season 4 was the weakest – not bad, but the weakest season.

There was a story about a man in Korea that they thought caught it twice but then it was revealed his first test was a false positive.

Anti-bodies from all corona viruses diminish with time. However, the latest studies show that the secret may lie in the T-cells that seem to be like your immune system’s hard drive where it keeps all the information needed to fight the virus on multiple occasions.
