Ladies: I have five children…the third child is easier than the second child. Why? With the first one, you have the kid out-numbered: there are two of you and one of it. Then, #2 comes along, and you feel a little crazy because you were entirely consumed with that one child. But! When #3 arrives, you have already developed skills to handle More Than One Child, so it’s mostly just more laundry and more cooking. Plus, the older two will be able to entertain one another for minutes at a time, and you’ll get a bit of time to spend with the new baby. Relax…(and, you’ll learn to lower your standards. It’s amazing what things lose their importance when you’re taking care of a flock, instead of a couple.)
Totally! I have four kids and I came from a family of six. Any number over two is about the same amount of effort but a lot less stress because you just can’t waste time worrying anymore, LOL!
I’m definitely the least nervous this time around. I hope you ladies are right!
Welp, we’re starting with the one, and although we’ll have him outnumbered, I’m hitting that critical point where I’m wondering if I’m fit for this job. What am I doing? My pet wallaby eats my headphones – I can’t even get that right. Ha!
