In a bonus podcast episode, an exclusive interview with George Papadopoulos, a central figure in the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign and the Inspector General’s report that was released yesterday. Papadopoulos comments on the report’s findings, what he thinks Michael Horowitz got wrong and what he expects from the ongoing criminal investigation from US Attorney John Durham. Papadopoulos also discusses his nascent campaign for the House of Representatives in California’s 25th district, recently vacated by Democrat Katie Hill.

Interesting how by targeting him, they may have really launched his career.

I’m sorry, but I just can’t buy what Papadopoulos is selling. It seems to me that he is a guy who wanted everyone to think he had important connections he did not have. Could well be he’s a con man who got conned.

I don’t get why you are so suspicious of him. He’s just a think tank guy trying to make a living. He’s gotten work and you don’t see anyone taking shots at him publicly about his work.

He deserves to win just as much as the other Republican.

I don’t understand me either. Call it feminine intuition. I can’t help thinking he’s a phony little guy who wanted people to think he was more important than he was and started a lot of unnecessary Russia suspicion.

For me I have to try to subtract out his accent and the way he talks. He has kind of a low powered way of talking that is distracting. I think it’s a cross between being second generation Greek and being from Chicago or something.

Andrew C McCarthy took some shots at him about his story but I think as far as his career goes it’s as legitimate as anyone’s.

I think he just got thrown into a lot of stuff way too fast and handled it as well as he could. Spooks from three different governments. Everyone is being disingenuous around him.

He didn’t start anything. He was targeted by corrupt Obama Administration apparatchiks. Now, he may have been a young idiot who wasn’t suspicious enough, but we’re all idiots when we’re young. Some stay that way later in life.
