Hillary Won’t Say if She Wiped the Server

Calling Hillary Clinton a bad candidate is like calling Hannibal Lecter a bad dinner guest; it’s a bit of an understatement. Tuesday afternoon, the presumed Democratic nominee gave a disastrous press conference that will fuel opposition ads until November 2016, or until she drops out of the campaign. In this excerpt, she deftly puts an end to the growing email server scandal:

Ed Henry: “Did you wipe the server?”

Hillary Clinton: “What, like with a cloth or something?”

Yeah, that should end the controversy. Earlier Tuesday, she had a semi-public meeting with activists from #BlackLivesMatter, the group that has been shutting down the campaign events of her rivals. It… didn’t go well.

Hillary Clinton: “If that is your position then I will talk only to white people about how we are going to deal with the very real problems.”

In both videos, she’s prickly, imperious, and thoroughly unlikable. As Peter Robinson asked below, can she possibly win the Democratic nomination? And, if I may add, does she even make it to the end of the year?

..hmmmmm…let’s see. Nixon did a successful detente with the Russians and opened diplomatic relations with the Chinese. As opposed to BHO + HRC with a failed reset with Putin and an increasingly precarious relationship with China threatening her neighbors.

In the Middle East when Israel was blitzkrieged in 1973, Nixon sent the 6th Fleet along her coast. This deterred the Russians from sailing their fleet out of the Black Sea and close to Israel. If Nixon hadn’t things might have been different. As opposed to BHO + HRC with failed Iran, failed Arab Spring, failed Libya, failed Egypt, failed Syria, failed Iraq, no ISIS policy and an insane Iran Nuclear Deal.

BHO + HRC = Zero in foreign policy. That’s being kind.

I know this is great entertainment to see Hillary flounder, but I detect either incompetence or intentional sloppiness (perhaps both) from the administration. How else do you explain that the inspector general for the intelligence community could make statements that two of the emails found had been classified at the time they were written when Fox News found that the same two emails had been released publicly as part of the investigation into the death of the U.S. ambassador to Benghazi in Libya? This was on WSJ yesterday under Politics.

During the Yom Kippur War Golda Meir made a plea for assistance. The Arabs wouldn’t like it. The Soviets wouldn’t like it. Europe said “no.”

Nixon said “send everything that will fly.”

F-4 Phantom II fighters rolled out of the factory on to the tarmac and flew straight to Israel. C-5s and C-141s carried tanks, guns, air-to-air missiles, artillery shells… not enough to replace all of what Israel had lost or expended, but enough that it could continue.

Nixon was a flawed individual, but when it was gut check time he came through.
