Singing roosters… musical pigs… and a trail of references.

Boy, Leonardo DiCaprio looks old there.
It’s Apache dancing! Did you really not know that, or was that the joke?
Also, I’ll bet the reference to James Burke was lost on a lot of people. That’s one I got, at least.
Keep on the shardy side.
The Europeans can celebrate pi in reverse, kind of. The day 22 July can be represented as 22/7, a good approximation of pi.
You’re supposed to fish out egg shells with the other shell.
Any Quisp and Quake fans out there?
Used to love Quisp madly.
I did not, and forgive me if I called it something else; I was working on five hours of sleep and waiting for the pain pills to kick in. Rough road to get to the Diner that morn.

Gosh I love this stuff. May I add some of those memories that just…stay there?
”I’m gonna remember Coffee Mate.” Turns out I did.
Nov schmoz ka pop. Yes, it’s before my time. It’s immortal.
Radio Free Europe commercial. For a kid, I did pretty well imitating Hungarian.
The Quisp vs. Quake Election. We were a divided nation then.
Klaatu barada nikto (1 point). Gort declato proskyo (5 pts)
Early editions of Windows let you record audios, play them backwards, and, uh, practice them. Ssswin tog duug nyaiv. Yes, I tried it. No, I’m not ashamed. Yes, it’s from Twin Peaks.
Quisling pigs!
The other day I picked up a hot pocket and noted the mascot Herbie, who appeared to be an anthropomorphized microwavable pie. I pondered the Judas goat nature of the food mascot profession, and figured I’d ask about it next time the Diner’s lines opened up.
James, you beat me to it.
Watch for turkey celebs grinning at Thanksgiving. It’s ugly, I tell ya.
We all thought we were the only ones thinking about it. It turns out we were ALL thinking of it, at least as often as we pondered the Roman Empire.
The Pittsburgh pirates have racing mascots which are pierogies for a local brand (“Mrs T’s pierogies”)
Anthropomorphic cartoons are probably responsible for the animal rights movement. How many deaths is Walt Disney responsible for?
Anthropomorphic.
Anamorphic is a film format.
Spell check on the phone is pain in the nether regions.
Well, perhaps a late reply is better than no reply from a podcast-listening lurker.
Let’s see…a new waitress every week…the Village Scramble is Number 6…the eggs are Rover-easy….
I have to presume the new waitress is the #2 waitress, but she won’t say who #1 is. I’m also surprised that you actually got information and that you were allowed to leave the diner at the end of the episode. Did the door open and close by itself? Have you resigned from your job recently?
Sorry about those last two. I know that questions are a burden to others and answers are a prison for oneself.
Be seeing you!
Alexander the Great’s birthday.
