You could be forgiven for thinking this week’s Democratic debates were straight out of an old Monty Python sketch, which prompted Steve Hayward to ring up Power Line’s International Woman of Mystery, “Lucretia,” for a full-tilt boogie rant-fest about what ought to be the two main “Freeport questions” that could unravel the Democratic Party between now and election day next year. Are we really going to bring back busing? And how many genders are there? Maybe we can have a new federal commission to answer that question, alongside the proposed federal commission to study reparations.

But wait! There’s more! Steve shares a little bit of inside info on foreign policy from a key Trump insider, and we get in some licks about traffic, large trucks, California’s ongoing follies, raising a “German” German shepherd, and what’s on the grill for July 4.

P.S. Listeners who go all the way to the very end will be treated to a short ghost track that underscores the central theme of this episode.

Great podcast! Lucretia is a gem of rare quality, brilliant, beautiful, and witty. Please bring her back soon.

That was a great rant on truck drivers and their passing behavior (the Germans refer to this as “elaphant races”).  My feeling is that first, truck drivers should be required to have differential of at least 3 mph to pass.  Legal liability should include both the driver being passed as well as the passing truck driver.  After all, the driver being passed is refusing to ease up on the accelerator.

To help police to prioritize enforcing such a rule, which they might feel tempted to blow off, fines should start at $10,000, again for both drivers.  If a lone police cruiser has to pick between the two, go for the driver that refuses to slow down.

Lastly, I was wondering if Steve could lose “soft power dividend” line.  It got tired about a month after he started using it.

Perhaps find another ending, since apparently that’s a requirement of podcasts, that they have an ending.

If she where so inclined – she should have her own podcast.

Why not do a podcast of American History, the way it should be taught? Tell the story of America.

    Season 1: Discovery to foundation

Season 2: Constitution and Bill of Rights – Federalist Papers. Etc.

Season 3: Civil war and Reconstruction.

etc… Maybe put it on Skillshare as well, as a GenEd project.

    Controlling the borders…

Just tell the disciples of the Left that controlling the nation’s borders is like controlling the nation’s uterus.

Everyone should do anything they can to help large vehicles be safe at all times.

I repeat myself but why didn’t I have great teachers like International Woman of Mystery Lucretia and Mr. Hayward as teachers when I went to college?  I just hope there are plenty of younger versions of them both that are rising through the academic ranks.  Youth truly is wasted on the young.

Finally, a conservative who is willing to point out the obvious fact that sex and gender are not the same and that gender has only to do with language!   Too many talking heads these days, including most on the Right, mindlessly repeat the gender line.

    G. Gordon Liddy used to harp on this all of the time. That was a million years ago, too.
