With the announcement that Breitbart chief Steve Bannon will be taking on a senior role in Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, any notion that this campaign has any interest in persuading a general electorate to vote for him should be dispelled. The Republican nominee’s campaign has embraced the creator of an elaborate fiction in which they are always winning and their fellow Republicans are traitors to the cause.

….passing on this. Got my fill in this genre watching a NatGeo ep involving a dead water buffalo and Carrion birds.
Commentary Magazine – ha!
I don’t understand your comment. Could you please elaborate?
I’m generally sympathetic to Commentary’s antipathy toward Trump. However, it really annoys me when the Anti-Trumpers say things like that he wanted to ban American Muslims from entering the country. He never said that. I’m no big fan of Trump, but for God’s sake, we don’t have to exaggerate what he says.
Your own comment #4 makes my point.
I used to go to Commentary as a resource and will do so again one day. Love Podhoretz on GLOP as well. I just won’t subject myself to every column inch and every podcast minute dedicated to destroying the only thing between certain destruction and possible destruction of America’s founding principles. It’s not like flourishing some intellectual cape to do hourly critiques. I think the MSM media and principled Republicans will act as white cells for an all-powerful Trump term; the MSM media and Democrat lockstep party will protect the further corrupting of the cancerous Leviathan state. Trump was 18th of 17 for me up Indiana. Now he’s the only thing left to stop the Left.
Copy.
Two things, or maybe three, plus a question.
Disinterested and uninterested are not the same. Mr. Rothman’s claim that Trump is both does not make sense. I think Trump at his core is pretty uninterested in foreign policy but he is attempting to create a position as it is necessary for him to have a chance.
Personally, I dislike Trump almost as much as the Commentary guys but I think Trumps speeches this week were OK or even good. Of course they were not written by him but he delivered them (delivered better than normally) and he has used advisers who have knowledge of the topic. At least that gives me some hope that he can (maybe) be ‘handled’ and grow into the role should he win (unlikely).
As we only have 2 options, I think the best approach for everyone on our side who did not vote for Trump (I voted Cruz) is to encourage all signs of improvement (even if they are baby steps).
I’m afraid the real nightmare will start in January.
Ya, ya but what about Trump. Any opinions there. Like? No like? Cliffhanger….. :-)
I don’t like Trump. But I don’t like Clinton worse (more?). Grammatically incorrect response. But you get the gist.
