The Wayback Machine and the Rewriting of History
I really enjoy WhatsHerFace on YouTube. She makes me laugh, and though she often triggers a huge question mark in my head, she just as often makes demonstrably salient points. Like this one on rewriting the history of Robert Malone. If you don’t know who he is, give it a watch:
Published in Healthcare
Very helpful. It should be considered for the Main Feed.
Well, if you of all Ricochetties (sp) say so, I will change the setting.
See here also.
I think the corruption of Wikipedia is a good topic for promotion to the Main Feed. A co-founder of Wikipedia thinks it is now politicized narrative, so everyone else should be warned. I am wondering if anybody on Ricochet disagrees.
Wikipedia has its uses, but, as this post illustrates, it’s simply insidious for anything that bumps up against politics or a hot button issue.
Excellent.
We see them rewrite the news into the favored narrative nearly every day now, why would they not rewrite history too. I covered a few recent examples a while back, here is a good visual of one such event that has been frequently employed by many including some of the anti-intellectual locals:
Thank Goodness for the Wayback Machine…and people with long memories.
As the self-appointed spokesman for everyone on Ricochet, I say change the setting.
Done!
Fortunately, this doesn’t deal with election fraud.
Badda bing!
Well, there’s no provable proof and therefore no reason to look for proof, or evidence, or anything else, which is the core approach of the scientific method circa 2021, doncha know.
Exactly. It can’t be trusted for anything political, and even the biographies of people insufficiently woke are, shall we say, less than charitable.
The wikipedia page for socialism is a prime example. It’s the scene of a continual edit battle, so much so that editing was paused/locked the last time I looked (“This article is semi-protected until October 29, 2021 at 13:19 UTC, due to vandalism.”). The definition at the beginning of the page has become so wishy-washy that it includes a form of the word in the definition: “Socialism is a political, social, and economic philosophy encompassing a range of economic and social systems characterized by social ownership of the means of production.” Social ownership?! A meaningless phrase. So much for the all-encompassing state owning the means of production. We’ll never get the kids on board if they find out government will take over and run Apple, Disney, Facebook, etc.!
The page is a whitewash of the destructive history of socialism in its real world imposed (at the point of a bayonet/gun) occurrences. In other words, you won’t see any death count statistics. Criticism of socialism is limited to one five line paragraph at the very end of the page, and is so vague as to be meaningless.
James Watson, the co-discoverer of DNA, who ran out of town years ago. For what? Not being optimist about the future of Africa?
This is how real scientists talk.
Wow… I’m ashamed to say that I never saw the actual text until now. I always assumed that his words were taken out of context, but this goes beyond context – this is straight-up lying.
And it’s so much worse than most realize. Examples are legion.
When everyone claimed Trump told people to literally drink bleach, that was complete fabrication, as well.
Robert Malone has now been removed from LinkedIn.

What world are we living in??
Don’t worry. It’s not a conspiracy.
That’s your theory.

Great interview on Wisconsin radio 1310 WIBA/1130 WISN with Dr. Michael Yeadon, the former VP and chief scientist at Pfizer, detailing the risks of the spike protein in the mRNA vaccines–and the near blackout of information about it from BigMedia/BigTech, (22:05) myths about asymtomatic spread, (28:30) hysteria about variants that are 99% the same as the original coronavirus, and more:
