‘I Don’t Know, To Be Clear’: Biden’s Painful Press Conference

The President’s first press conference has just concluded. Joe Biden mumbling and stumbling his way through an hour of sympathetic softballs proved, once again, that he is not up to the job. He hasn’t “lost a step,” he’s lost the whole staircase. Even his media boosters couldn’t maintain the charade.

Biden strained to keep up with his scripted briefing document, calling one hand-selected reporter at a time. Each question was a mild critique from the far left. (Needless to say, Fox News’s Peter Doocy was not called upon.) Each answer was a few minutes of rambling followed by a word-for-word dry-read of the White House talking points.

Caleb Hull provided representative clips:

This embarrassing display occurred days after Biden’s repeated collapses trying to board Air Force One, and China publicly ridiculed his administration for its self-loathing weakness at the Alaska summit. No doubt, our enemies laughed their way through the presser as Americans cringed.

Meanwhile, at a nearby baseball field, Kamala Harris was warming up in the bullpen.

Can you even imagine what the press would have done/said if either of the two Bushes or Reagan had done this?

Couldn’t stop thinking of Dana Carvey’s perfect impersonation of Biden.

I’m reasonably sure someone will point out that Biden doesn’t do mean tweets.

I feel sorry for Biden – I know that’s not popular. He was pushed into this position, and shame on the Democrats for using him this way. His wife should have talked him out of running for president, as he was no different on the campaign trial (or off) as he has been since getting elected…. That being said, there are way too many major issues going on in our country and around the world to have someone in office that is struggling in any way. People held their breath every time Trump tweeted, and they’re still holding their breath every time Biden speaks. Very worried about our country.

The little I saw was painful. I still have a hard time believing our media is complicit with this charade. Sigh.

That’s simply evidence that they’ve received the encrypted go signal from USDEEPCOM that Operation Kamala is now in effect.

Not comparable. The 25th amendment wasn’t an option then.

I’m sticking with my opinion expressed months ago. When I read stories about Pelosi streamlining the 25th Amendment process, I thought then that the target wasn’t Trump, but rather Biden. Pelosi and her gang would like nothing better than having another crazy SF(b)  progressive in the White House.

My local TV station picked up on the “Biden says he will run for re-election”.  Yikes!  He won’t even make it through one term, much less run for re-election.

I don’t think the Democrats want to see Biden removed from office. He provides cover for everyone in the Washington Democratic Party bureaucracy. They tell him what to do and say.

He was pathetic. It was blatantly obvious from the first moment that it was scripted. He had to check his list for who to call on first and thereafter. He spent more time looking down at his prepared script when answering the underhanded slow pitch questions. It was obvious that there was nothing spontaneous. Beyond that, his slow, low energy talk was an embarrassment to his office. I tried to visualize how Putin was seeing this, and it wasn’t hard to imagine him laughing his head off. I couldn’t help comparing him to the other 13 presidents I have seen in my lifetime. By comparison, Biden was ridiculous, no energy, no spark, nothing that projected strength, just an old man, long past his prime. He is only two years older than I am, but next to him I feel like a teenager.

I am 9 years older than he is and I also feel like a teenager in comparison.

I watched every single, painful, excruciating, embarrassing, cringeworthy  minute of this sad episode in American history and as I watch a lot of my fellow citizens with all sorts of humorous “takes” on Biden and his obvious cognitive challenge, for the life of me not only do I not see it as funny, but as extremely dangerous for our future.

    God Help us.

Because the media isn’t shouting at them constantly about how awful Biden is.

Zero sympathy.  He’s been clawing for the job since the 1980’s.  Finally managed to steal his way into the office despite knowing he was not physically and mentally up to the job. Didn’t matter, his obsession with being president over shadowed everything.

Something that idiots like Charen and Berlinski couldn’t get past their soft heads is that diplomacy is not conducted on Twitter. Twitter is a tool of the masses and to expect policy and treaties to be adjudicated over that medium was daft.

Diplomacy is done in person. Which makes Biden’s failing far and away worse than uncouth tweets.

Anything in this news conference that convinced our enemies/the world’s bad actors to cancel their plans? Biden’s weakness and frailty convinced them of the exact opposite. Let’s accelerate our plans, who knows when we’ll have a better opportunity than this:

China – continue the crackdown in Hong Kong, harass ships in the South China Sea, saber rattle in Taiwan’s face, enjoy not being held to account at all for the coronavirus pandemic, etc., etc. (too many things to list)

Iran – look for ways to avenge the targeted killing of Qasem Soleimani, expand influence into Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, accelerate nuclear program, and continue the war in Yemen

North Korea – isn’t it great to be saber rattling and conducting missile launch tests again?

Russia – mock Biden and make plans for further territorial expansion – a couple more Georgian provinces? some more Ukrainian territory? So many choices…

Any number of terrorist organizations and international drug cartels – the southern border’s wide open, let’s go!
