That’s a great moment when he says $50k a year, and thirty guys behind him say ‘a month‘ in unison.

Lee Zeldon is really effective on all TV and radio. Very thoughtful and a good communicator.

Breitbart News has him on their satellite program a lot and they just cut him loose.

Trump isn’t very good at making arguments in favor of conservatism other than saying things like “Loser!” and “Traitor!”

Trump has proven to be very effective and persuasive for conservative policies.

@garyrobbins, I hope you listen to this.

I can understand if Gary is unhappy with the President’s call with Ukraine, I suspect we all see it the way we have always seen everything.  But does he believe this is something we should throw the President out of office for?

    Probably, I guess.  Oh well.

    I can’t speak for @garyrobbins.  But here’s my take.

Politicians are dispensible.  Bring ’em in.  Toss ’em out.  They don’t have to dance naked in public before you throw them out either.  It’s okay.

If Alexandria Ocasio Cortez were president and Joe Manchin were Vice President, I’d have no problem tossing AOC on the slightest pretext.

Nothing personal.  Just doing what’s good for the country.

Pence would be a better president than Trump and Pence would be a better 2020 candidate than Trump.

Toss Trump out and don’t feel guilty about it either.

Okay to just impeach Presidents because you feel like it?

I’m glad our system is a bit stronger than that.

There are probably hundreds … thousands … of people who would be a better president that DJT; and every single president that preceded him.

You think Pence would be a better president than Trump. You think Pence would be a better candidate than Trump.

No offense, but who cares? (Nothing personal)

That’s what elections are for. We don’t throw out presidents on a whim, and certainly not on your whim. There are other countries that are structured in such a way; if that’s what you prefer, I suggest you pack your bags.

The way we bring them in and toss them out is through elections.  So yeah, let’s do that.

For my part, I was a NeverTrumper.  Well, no I wasn’t.  I was NeverThat.  I was very much opposed to Trump.  And I said all the things about the Republican brand.  Now?  I’m TrumpTolerant.  There are a lot of people like me out there.  I don’t want to rehash all of that.  I just want to say that the only thing that would tarnish the Republican brand worse than it is, meaning stop people from voting Republican, is if Republicans in the House and Senate side with the Democrats on this impeachment business.

Now, if they do that, the Democrats will say “See, see?  Even the Republicans think it is that bad!”  But nobody will start voting Republican if that happens.  And many people will stop voting Republican.

I’m not going to stop voting Republican just because I don’t like the way Trump behaves.  Hell, I’m even gonna vote him this time around.

No, it’s time to stop with this Republican brand stuff.  It’s not accurate.

There are 2 ways that politicians can be removed from office.

[] By the voters in an election.

[] By Congress through impeachment and removal.

But relax.  Trump isn’t likely to be removed from office by the Senate.  It takes a two-thirds vote of the Senate to remove Trump.

If you were a betting man and you were in Las Vegas, you’d bet on Trump not being removed.  The only Republicans who are likely to vote for Trump’s removal are Murkowski, Romney and Collins (and maybe Alexander and Isakson).

I’ve been saying for a while now if the #NeverTrumpers were smart, they’d already be pointed towards 2024, and finding a candidate who they can be comfortable with but who could also have a chance at winning over the majority of Trump’s supporters and who has a strong enough identity not to be swamped by Trump’s persona (because anyone who thinks he’s fading quietly into the background in 2024 has to be mainlining strong hallucinogenics).

If #NeverTrumpers were smart (not intelligent – there are lots of sophomores among them) they would not be #NeverTrumpers. To be Never anything bespeaks an intellectual rigidity that overwhelms even genius levels of intelligence.

I’m comfortable being a #NeverPedophile. Am I being intellectually rigid?

What’s with the obsession with Gary Robbins? Is he some billionaire “Never” funneling millions of dollars into a giant campaign against Trump or he a troll on a small time conservative web site? Gary said he was open to having his mind changed. Look, I know it’s never happened, but hope springs eternal. I think if he watched the video at the front of this thread, he might gain a perspective he’s never been exposed to before. If he really is open to changing his mind, that clip might help.

At 6:54 there’s a brawl between Shiff, who tried to interrupt the event, and Scalise. They are separated by Rep. Collins who literally knocks their heads together old- school style. Then at around 11:00, Jim Acosta, still dressed in his Halloween costume as Fredo Corleone, brandishing a microphone as though it was a gun, demands Kevin McCarthy denounce Trump or else shine his shoes. And much more…

By the way Spin, I never read The Brothers Karamazov- too long and too dense. Just tell me what it’s about….
