Quote of the Day: Rainbow

“And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.” — Genesis 9:14-16, KJV

Thanks, Seawriter. I will always believe that there is something magical about rainbows. I’m like a little kid when they appear. You can give me all the scientific reasons for them, but they are much, much more than those reasons.

Wile Terrible things were and are happening in Houston and much of South Texas I am grateful to God that I and the citizens of Houston live in a place where 40 deaths are a national tragedy. While South Texas was being flooded so was South Asia. Millions homeless and thousands dead. We are a blessed people.

You have no idea how hard it was to find a picture of a rainbow over Houston.

    The fire next time.

    I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain . . .

Happened right after Tropical Storm Claudette, my experience in which I talked about here.
