“Trumpland.”  Which is it?  Depends on your POV:

Aaauuughhh!   Global warming!!   Look at the rise in sea levels!!!

    Or:

A miracle worker!  Brought water to the desert southwest!

Z in MT: However, it seems to be that your disgust with Trump is blinding you. Except for a couple picks, Trump is appointing a very limited government cabinet. Pruitt at EPA, Pudzer at Labor, Perry at Energy, and Mulvaney for OMB alone might be worth the price of admission.

This is probably a separate conversation, but…

Perry demonstrated himself to be a principleless hack when he called Trump a “cancer on conservatism” and then endorsed him anyway.  Mulvaney may or may not be a Bircher, which I consider a mark against him.  And you left off his AG pick, who was the one hard-core pot prohibitionist left in the Senate at the moment that marijuana is set to become the defining federalism issue of the next decade.

His cabinet is a collection of generals and major CEOs, which wouldn’t by itself be a problem, but combine that with a President who has no prior Washington experience fascist tendencies … Let’s just say I’m not cheering as hard as most people.

TKC1101:Fred, you throw up a silly ass map showing ‘where the real population’ lies and imply that is somehow an argument.

I count 11 states where Trump’s vote total was under 769,000.  (Mississippi, Arkansas, Kansas, Utah, Nebraska, West Virginia, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Alaska.)

See, 769,000 is the number of votes Trump got in just Los Angeles county.

It’s not “where the real population is.” I didn’t use that phrase.  I don’t believe in a “real America.”  No part of America is less real than any other part.  But the reason Clinton won the popular vote is because those islands have a high population density.

I find it amusing when all I do is the same thing showing where the illegal population lies and you have your normal freakout about implication.

I’m not sure what “freakout” I had, much less what my “normal freakout” might be.  All I did was point out that the map of where all the scare illegal aliens are is also centers of population density.

Your inconsistency is bordering on parody. Oh wait, we have no borders, so I think your inconsistency snuck across in the night.

I’m not sure what this mean.  I’m not sure where I’ve been inconsistent.  You are invited to point it out.

It could be that Perry has realized he was wrong about Trump. So many were completely snowed by the propaganda. It can happen to anyone overexposed to the MSM

Mulvaney may or may not be a Witch too! He has a ouija board in his game room.

Fascist tendencies? You still don’t understand.

The Reticulator: And if that was good enough for you under the Obama regime, It’s hard to see why you’re so worked up about Trump.

Because I don’t seem them having any restraint. There aren’t any checks any more. Congressmen are already lining up to lick Trump’s boots.

How terrifying it must be for you. My sympathies.

Be genuine here Franco.  Of all the losers on election day the biggest L was slapped on foreheads of open borders/TPP libertarians.   First, Rand Paul was reduced to a chihuahua nipping at Trump’s boots after backpedalling from every libertarian stance not involving your iPhone.  Next, Ted Cruz, a genuine conservative with healthy federalist/libertarianish impulses, could never win over the libertarians owing to his “Thank Gawwwwd” rhetorical style and lack of dude ganja vibe (Jeff Spicolli must be 35 by now, right?).

Finally, the Libertarian Party comically demonstrated what many of us always expected of the Dinner With Schmucks Party:  they can never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity better than the Palestinians ever could (or is it couldn’t?).  Throwing all of their principles overboard in order to achieve what greater libertarian goal:  federal funding???

And it’s stalwarts like Tom Price that are selling their souls and licking boots?

It is fairly simple, Libertarians are people who want to be Liberals but are too geeky even for them.

Well, when I’m wrong I’m wrong.  Spengler makes the case for  the biggest losers, rather than the most comic losers, on election day.

Fred Cole: but combine that with a President who has no prior Washington experience fascist tendencies

We were voting against a candidate who had Washington experience in exercising her fascist tendencies.  Much better to have someone without that experience.

You are getting sillier with each passing hour. Of course she matters, because there is lots more of her where she came from. And she matters because she is a good part of the reason why we have Donald Trump.  This is not the Soviet Union where you just airbrush people out of history.

I’m hoping that when you sober up we can have a good laugh about this.

billy:So we’ve gone from Mr. Cole’s, “There is no evidence of voter fraud. It’s all a paranoid myth ginned up by alt-right nativists” to Umbra’s,”Sure voter fraud occurs, but it doesn’t influence the outcome of any election.”

When did Fred say this? As far as I can tell, he’s saying the same thing I am; If you want to claim that Trump would have won the popular vote if not for illegal voters, then you’d better be able to back it up with something more substantial than, “Everybody knows it happens.”

    I agree.

What the original poster claimed/hinted has still not been supported by evidence.

TKC1101:If that were true, the trends would be proportional. Look at LA County with over 1 million illegals in one county alone.

It almost make the case for the entire margin being due to motor voter illegals in the western states,

Well, you folks back in Brooklyn or even Brookline may not have any concerns about the caliber of the voting make up of the map, but  those of us out west here have other ideas.   I think accusation of hijack is a stretch, since the maps do coincide and it is a valid  and on topic point. You, of course, in your ways of your ilk, can disagree. I shall not accuse you of any such anti -social behavior.

One day, you may have the incredible power to grab threads and fly them to far off places. Do not despair.
