Even at the risk of talking politics when everyone else is grieving, I must comment. Le Pen should press Holland to the wall. This is the ultimate grotesque madness. Anyone who is fool enough to disassociate themselves from a crime like this has no grip on reality. Hollande will make grand gestures and do little more. If France will not change its immigration policy towards potential Jihadists because of EU then let France leave the EU. If Hollande will not listen then let Le Pen beat Hollande at the polls and be rid of him too.

The Vicar General, Father Philippe Maheut, is on location since the beginning. I will be tonight in my diocese with the families and the parish community which is very much in shock. The Catholic Church cannot take weapons other than those of prayer and brotherhood among men. I leave here hundreds of young people who are the future of humanity, the true ones. I ask them not to give in to the violence and become apostles of the civilization of love.

Nun’s eye witness account in the Normandy church
A nun who was in the church during today’s attack said the 86-year-old priest was forced to the ground before his throat was slit.
“They forced him to his knees. He wanted to defend himself. And that’s when the tragedy happened,” said the nun, identified as Sister Danielle.
“They recorded themselves. They did a sort of sermon around the altar, in Arabic. It’s a horror,” she told BFM television.
