Hillary Laughs at Joke about Email Scandal

Agriculture Secretary and former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack endorsed Hillary Clinton at a small ceremony Wednesday. As he delivered his bland statement, he made an impromptu joke about Clinton’s growing email scandal, calling it “Trumped up charges.” (Get it? “Trump?” You can see why Tom chose a life in politics instead of comedy.)

But Hillary thought the joke was a laugh riot:

Oh, that laugh. It haunts us all from beyond the political grave.

Paired with Hillary’s joke about email a couple of weeks ago, she seems to think humor (or a reasonable simulacrum thereof) is the best way to handle her possible high crimes. All I see is a thousand oppo ads characterizing her and her party as irredeemably corrupt.

Unrelated note: Vilsack has to be the worse name in politics, yes? Sounds like a last name of a Harry Potter villain.

I wonder if she’d laugh if someone said the plant there was run with Duracell batteries instead of Energizer.

Had to listen twice to that laugh.  Even has that longer, drawn-out “ha HAA!” at the end.  Ghastly.

Now, again, someone remind me why Republicans are always described as the uptight guys with no sense of humor?  This guy’s delivery – and he practiced this bit, I’m guessing a lot – is like finding a bucket of shaved glass and dumping it upside down into your mouth and chewing and screaming at the same time.

    Meaning it’s pretty bad.

It’s the laugh of someone pretending they have a sense of humor.

That laugh from her is always used as a ploy to belittle charges against her. It’s clearly disingenuous.

How ridiculous! How ridiculous she would ever do anything wrong!

Those crazy conspiracy theorists on the right. Hahahaha.

That was almost as funny as the time Hillary got the accused child rapist off.  Now that was a real thigh-slapper.  Don’t you just love those wild and crazy Clinton’s?  We all had such fun when they were in the White House.

Why shouldn’t she laugh? It is not like anything is going to come of the email issue. It is not even a scandal by most of the country’s opinion.

No, that would be Anthony (Tony) Weiner. Or the best. Just can’t decide.

(Oh how Hillary must laugh at those Weiner jokes Bill tells.)

Maybe if Richard Nixon had joked about Watergate he could have gotten away with it too. His missing 18 minutes were surely less damaging (and damning) than Hillary’s e-mails.
