Please President Trump, Don’t Make Netanyahu’s Mistake

I hope Trump does not make Netanyahu’s mistake.

The reason a leftist government came to power in Israel was due to Netanyahu’s ego.  There would have been a conservative government if Netanyahu had been willing to cede leadership of the Likud party to someone else. But his ego prevented him from doing that. And this same scenario is likely to unfold in the upcoming elections in Israel.

Now in the US, we see the same potential disaster in the making.  Don’t get me wrong, Israelis love Trump. He moved the  US embassy to Jerusalem, tore up the Iran deal, and has grandkids who attend a Jewish day school.  But if he would pass the mantle of leadership to DeSantis, there is a much better chance of conservatives retaking the White House in two years and, who knows, maybe both houses of Congress this November, which would be truly beneficial for Israel, to say nothing of the US.

endorsed primary candidates who are all election deniers.

See? You keep using meaningless Rorschach bumper-sicker phrases. Contrary to your thinking, the election happened. And it was corrupt.

I respectfully disagree. See “LOST, NOT STOLEN: ‘The Conservative Case that Trump Lost and Biden Won the 2020 Presidential Election’” at https://ricochet.com/1285677/lost-not-stolen-the-conservative-case-that-trump-lost-and-biden-won-the-2020-presidential-election/

And you go on corrupting the language. Communists do that.

Trump does that every time he labels someone who disagrees with him as to even the slightest degree as a “RINO.”

The Left leans on that. And Reagan never did.

May we have a restoration of the Party of Reagan.

RINO — Republican in name only — has real meaning. Claiming that others are denying that elections occurred is irrational poppycock. Using irrational jargon to slander your perceived enemies is a very bad behavior. And probably a violation of the CoC here on Ricochet, if not on the bullwerk, or whatever Never publications you read.

I was never called a RINO until Trump appeared on the scene. RINO now means someone who has even the slightest disagreement with Trump. Now I think I am called a RINO almost every day.

Maybe that’s when you changed to voting for Democrats. And this raises a good question. Did you vote for Trump in 2016? Or did you vote for president at all? Or did you vote for a non-contender like McMullen?

I voted for Utah’s next Senator Evan McMullin in 2016.

So maybe that’s when you started being called a RINO, when you voted against the Republican nominee for someone who couldn’t win.  In other words, it wasn’t Trump coming on the scene that caused you to be called a RINO but your change in voting choices and not voting for a Republican.

Gary voted for the scheme to use the rules to throw the election into the House so they could select a President that over 90% of the nation did not vote for.

That is what Gary voted for.

The idea that the will of 90% of the people should be ignored so that a handful of the elite get to pick the President is undemocratic, unrepublican, , and frankly, un-American.

Gary please talk about the policies which make it imperative that you vote for Democrats.

In 2012, there was one public figure who said that Obama has cheated to win against Romney, who called for a revolution and called for folks to descend on Washington DC. That was Trump. In other words, Trump was an election denier as to the 2012 election!

I am faithful to the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and the ratification of the Constitution in 1787. The Rule of Law is why I must vote against Trump, and Trump endorsed primary candidates who are all election deniers.

    “Policies.”

    You still won’t do it.

My policy is “The Rule of Law” and adherence to the Constitution of the United States. That is fundamental and undergirds all other political issues.

    Huh. Just like Trump.

Amusing. If you really cared about the rule of law and the Constitution, you wouldn’t be voting for Democrats.

The Democrats are terrible about many policies. Their student loan give-away is a good example of that. I believe that it violates the spirit if not the letter of Article I.

But the Democrats have not attempted an insurrection, as Trump did on January 6, 2021.

    Ah, the medium-sized lie.

It’s a useful term for Reagan Republicans who vote for Democrats, for example.
