Adam Kinzinger Beclowns Himself

From the moment Illinois Republican Adam Kinzinger enthusiastically offered Nancy Pelosi his services in support of her hyper-partisan show trial (the January 6th Committee),  he has drifted ever further to the left, renounced his previous “principled conservative” positions, and metaphorically forsaken his Republican wingtips for a big red floppy pair of progressive clown shoes.

His effusive praise of the perjurer, Cassidy Hutchinson, is but one recent example. “Cassidy Hutchinson is one of the most brave and honorable people I know,” he gushed. Meanwhile, the brave and honorable Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony has been solidly debunked. The salacious story of Trump grabbing the wheel of the presidential limo was completely made up, she did not write the note she claimed to have written, she claimed to have had a conversation with another staffer who wasn’t even at the White House that day, and Trump did not order the removal of magnetometers outside his Ellipse rally to let in more of the crowd.  One can only guess that perjury and the admission of hearsay evidence are now congruent with the “rule of law” Kinzinger and his fellow Anti-Trumpers have been prattling on about.

Oh, and today, he denounced those who believed that faith might have a role in Government as “the Christian Taliban.” “We must oppose the Christian Taliban. I say this as a Christian,” he twitted. “Christian Taliban” is usually the sort of characterization of people of faith used by left-wing whack jobs. It’s possible to disagree with people who would like to see more faith in Government without using inflammatory language like “Christian Taliban.” So, why did he go there? Does he really think Lauren Boebert and other Christians want to stone women to death for adultery and throw homosexuals from the tops of tall buildings?

Also, a couple of weeks ago, he endorsed gun control. (And he also voted for the GOP’s gun control bill.)

And he’s become sufficiently left-wing to get invited to lefty late-night chat shows, where he promised that the hearings would be followed by more hearings, and then a final report, and then more hearings.

Kinzinger noted that the investigation will continue with a few more hearings and that the ultimate report released by the committee may call for an additional hearing or two. But he also left the door open for more hearings to be added

The man sure loves his hearings. He’s like a Dollar Store Trey Gowdy, who himself was a 5 Below Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

So, what’s really going on here? Since his new Democrat friends gerrymandered him out of his district, is he just showing his true colors and dropping the conservative charade? What about the rumors that he fancies a run for the Senate, or the governorship of Illinois? (Fat chance.) And is he gliding gradually to the left to try and pick off some suburban AWFLs?  He’s either showing us the real beliefs he kept hidden before, or he is changing his positions out of political expediency. Either way, so much for principles.

Or maybe Trump-hatred just baked his brain.

I saw a story about how she wrote a paper in 2018 praising Trump:

Before I clicked the link. I thought you were just trying to use the proper woke pronouns while describing Kinzinger.

I’ve heard that his Nobel prize is warranted for that small area of knowledge but he got a girlfriend and started spouting nonsense on everything. Some think that she might write some of the columns.

This is their new Narrative. The 25-year-old girl who reports all the hearsay is obviously relating What Really Happened. The people who were actually present are the liars.

My goodness.  So many inaccuracies, so little time!  I’m on my way out to visit my 91 year old mother for a week, so I will take some quick shots.

Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony was convincing and riveting.  As for Trump lunging for the steering wheel, some have argued that he couldn’t have done so in the Cadillac.  Um, he was being transported in the Suburban, where he could have “lunged.”  There are three options.  First it happened and person who told her, told the truth.  Second, it didn’t happen, and the person who told her was inflating the truth.  Third, it didn’t happen, and she lied about what the person who told her said.  I think that first is most likely.  But the way to flush that out is for people to be interviewed under oath.

Trump is cooked, stick a fork in him.  DeSantis is beating him in New Hampshire already.

Adam Kinzinger voted for a watered down form of “gun control” which deals with 18 year olds who go nuts shortly after turning 18.  However the Senate approved bill did not raise the age for all 18 year olds to purchase a long gun, nor did it discriminate between types of guns.  It was approved in the Senate with 65 votes.  Hardly a “gun grabbing” bill.

Illinois Democrats are greedy people who want in have the most Democrats in Congress; we did the same thing in Texas and Florida this year.

I got notice of a zoom call with Adam Kinzinger with only 24 hours notice last week.  1,000 people showed up.

Whenever you want to write a post about ***his*** top half dozen or so ***original thoughts on or explanations of public policy*** etc. I will be glad to read it.

He got screwed on redistricting, so I get why he’s trying to get a job at MSNBC. If he does something else that would be pretty interesting.

Alyssa Farah looks like a complete phony to me right now. Same with Stephanie Grisham. Having said that, all kinds of people are going to get ostracized for helping Trump so maybe that’s your only option if you don’t have any money.
