Who Commits the Most Mass Shootings?

John Lott knows!
Only one group commits fewer mass shootings than whites – and it’s not Asians.

Ricochet Audio Network: Lott’s latest study: Updated information on Mass Public Shootings from 1998 through October 2023

That’s quite interesting and it leads to a question:  Why does Joe Biden hate science?

Added to the queue. John Lott is a lonely voice of rationality crying out in the desert of fake news and ulterior motives.

I agree with Lott in reference to the police officers in the schools. However, the problem runs deeper than he totally understands. I worked closely with the officer who was assigned to my school. He was a really decent guy. However, he had the same attitude I saw when I worked at King County Juvenile Detention in Seattle, he lacked the level of cynicism necessary to not be snowed by the kids. He wanted to be Officer Friendly. The problem with that is while playing that role you miss a good deal of what is happening and what potentially can happen.

I understand how it happens. I had to learn the lesson what Juvenile Hall. You want to be liked so you loosen up, drop some of your defenses. Pretty soon the inmates are running the institution. A cop in the schools has to be as hardnosed at a cop on the streets, an Officer Krupke. In or out of uniform he must carry a gun at all times. Our guy didn’t. It never became a issue, but it could have, and he would have been “all dressed up with nowhere to go” had it happened. As one who was working with the most potentially dangerous kids in the building I tended to find him sort of like the first part of Hur’s description of Biden, a nice man who means well, but ultimately useless.

It says whites commit the most mass shootings, 54.9%.

It defines mass shootings as any event with four or more people shot, which covers everything from school shootings to shootouts between drug dealers. Not a very helpful categorization.

It’s something like 80% is gangs and drug dealers. It’s strikes me as way too simple.

Biden does not mean well and he is harmful rather than useless.

I enjoyed your comments very much and they are congruent with what my friend said about being a prison security guard. But I feel that you unfairly compared him to a malevolent and indecent man.
