Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Due to some scheduling issues, we’re a couple of days early this week but that doesn’t mean we’re scrimping on the content. James is taking this week off, so Rob and Peter drive the bus themselves (as Peter mentions in the show, do check out James’ Twitter feed). We’re not scrimping on the guests either: we’ve got Washington Post chief political correspondent (and former Ricochet podcaster) Bob Costa on The Squad, Nancy, Bernie, 2020, and more. Then, Law Talk co-host John Yoo stops by to discuss the passing of Justice John Paul Stevens, some of the recent SCOTUS rulings, and to call out Rob Long for his many imperfections. Finally, Rob and Peter give some binge TV tips. What are you watching? Tell us in the comments.
Music from this week’s show: The Wayfarer by Bruce Springsteen

Miffed White Male
Fish have faces.
Her words. Maybe because you can only look fish in the eye and not in the eyes.
I was going to suggest maybe the criteria really are “face” and “fur or hair” (my wife says four legs and fur or hair are requirements for a household pet) but that doesn’t cover chickens or turkeys unless feathers seem close enough to fur. I.e., would she consider eating snake, alligator, or bugs?
Rats have rights!
Try flounder face down. It you cannot see a face, is there a face?
Chickens have faces, too, but when you cut them up, bread, and fry them, nobody can see it.
“Line of Duty”
It’s a British police procedural drama set in Northern Ireland, written by Jed Mercurio who also wrote last year’s thriller, “Bodyguard”.
They’ve done five seasons of “Line of Duty” so there’s a lot to binge. They’re working on a sixth season. It’s available on Prime Video.

Also on Prime Video is “Bosch”. It’s another cop drama based on the novels by Michael Connelly. It is set in LA and stars Titus Welliver. They are also working on a sixth season.
A lot to binge? c’mon, it’s a European show! Sure, 5 seasons. Of mostly SIX episodes each! (Season 1 had FIVE episodes!) That wouldn’t even get you through TWO seasons of a US show.
