Is it the dawning of a new era or are we continuing the one we’re already in? The answer was not clear when we assembled today at 9AM Pacific Time (the best time zone, as everyone knows), but we do our best to pundit all of the facts we knew when we rolled tape clicked record. But before we start that, Rob Long has a statement he’d like to make. And Peter Robinson has some thoughts on why the race may not really be over. On that topic, we are lucky to have John Yoo, Esq. back on to take us through the myriad election laws on both the state and the Federal level. Then, Arizona native (and Ricochet Editor-In-Chief) Jon Gabriel calls in from his car to explain the finer points of voting with a Sharpie and why that matters and offer his theory on how that state’s Presidential race is going to wind up. Finally, we go across the pond to Budapest to tap the mind of one the most cogent political observers we know: John O’Sullivan. From his perch in Budapest, he has a perspective and a point of view that is perceptive and unique. And he sounds so urbane when he delivers it, we can’t resist. Finally, wind up with some thoughts and insights on polling and why it was so off this cycle.

That’s a wrap on the 202o election cycle, folks. We thank you for sticking with us. We know (boy, do we know…) that you didn’t always agree with what you heard on this show, but we hope you weren’t bored and that once in a while you gained an insight or two. We have some interesting plans for the show going forward (including offering members the ability to watch it –warts and all– live on Zoom as we record it) and some very cool guests. The future starts now.

Music from this week’s show: That’s Life by Frank Sinatra

I’m just going to put this here. This story broke this afternoon.

If this was more than just a glitch and the software was programmed to switch Trump votes to Biden votes but leave other races and ballot issues untouched, this could explain the disparity between the presidential versus the senatorial and House district vote tallies resulting in gains in the House for Republicans but knocking out Trump at the top of the ballot. It would also help to explain the massive turnout for perhaps the most lackluster and feeble presidential candidate that the Democrat Party has ever put forward that the results incredibly suggest is more popular than Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and essentially any presidential candidate in history given ahistorical voter turnout and his popular vote totals.

My guess is that Trump and the GOP will demand that a court order the audit of the results in all the states this software was used; and perhaps the Dept. of Justice or the NSA may have some of its software experts look into the code to see if what was found today in Michigan was actually a line of code that was deliberately put there to flip possibly millions of votes across numerous states.

If deliberate criminality was involved, then not only does Trump have a strong chance of having vote counts corrected in his favor but some people may actually be facing prison time.

John Yoo has never been disappointed by the taste-determining experts for McDonalds?

I guess he’s too young to remember the McLean.

The McDLT in the late 80s was pretty good.

And I really liked the steak sandwich, circa 1978/1979 (it came out while I was working there in high school).

I liked the McDLT too, that’s the one that came in a 2-part container so the lettuce etc wasn’t all warm and wilted by the time you got it home – or wherever – to eat.

The McLean was the one made partly with “seaweed.”

And the Border Light stuff at Taco Bell best resembled, as far as I’m concerned, some kind of gray-ish goo that they put in the burritos, the taco shells, and damn near everything else…

    Unpopular with who?

Unpopular with our cultural gatekeepers? Who gives a . . .

That Trump is unpopular with Rob Long, Jonah Goldberg, etc, is a feature, not a bug.

Possibly but it may force election officials to show how or if they time-stamped ballots that came in. If there’s no physical or video record of ballots received after 8pm on Election Day or if no observers will go on record when ballots arrived, that might be a problem and may tie into the pending ruling on the change in Pennsylvania election law.

I listened to Levin long enough to hear him say that this order had been given and ignored. This order was apparently a way of saying , “We really mean it.” He played a clip of a female election official who said that counting would continue exactly as was done before the order. He did not say what course of action was likely if this order was ignored as well.

Mark Steyn provides a list of voting frauds around the country in his podcast.

The FBI and DoJ have proven themselves largely corrupt. I wouldn’t count on them to get to the bottom of this.

The President’s lawyers have less than a month to fight their corner. If they haven’t cracked the Democrat strategy in 2 weeks, it will probably stand.

Heck, the Dems can run out that clock just by asking for delays/continuances.

Yeah, our elections commission was ordered to clean up the voter rolls of 200,000 non-existent people, and they said “nah.” And you know what the consequences were for these people?

    Nothing.

Of course, the consequences for the rest of the country are playing out right now.

Brian – do you have a second source for this? I have seen the story about the MI software but this is the first I have seen saying the same is used in the other states…If this is true and holds up, it is a major game changer.

Twenty five minutes in and I’m thoroughly disgusted with this clown show. Democrats have succeeded in making a mockery of the electoral system of the Republic. One more American institution destroyed. But Rob thinks today is the day to yuk it up on the podcast. And John Yoo thinks he can dodge answering serious question to compete with Rob for punchlines. Thank God for Peter Robinson, but I’ve listened to as much as I can stand from the rest of you!  James?  Where were you during this humiliating performance.  I heard you read the commercials, but other than that crickets.

It’s a volunteer force now. How many warriors will consider the country worth fighting for with sphinctered orifices such as Biden and Harris in charge? To say nothing of those who put them in charge. Personally, I wouldn’t walk across the street for what the country will be in six months.

He’s probably going to say another mindless thing about unity. Except these are the people who have been calling us white supremacists, cultists, nazis, racists, fascists and worse for the last four years.

I’m confident this kind of thing happens in other states, but Democrat-controlled states wouldn’t be looking for it, nor would they care if they found it.  If anything they would probably insist the culprit get a raise and more paid vacation!

Well, it doesn’t seem likely that the people who voted for them, would fight for anything.  Except maybe burning down buildings and stuff, where people don’t usually fight back.
