Oh, This Won’t Cause Any Problems
Looks like LA is jumping on the Defund the Police movement. Watch for Los Angeles to turn into Los Santos, the fictional version of LA in the computer game Grand Theft Auto V.
I wouldn’t be surprised if law enforcement officers simply quit and move away. I also wouldn’t be surprised if MS-13 formed a political party and started winning elections.

It’s hard to feel sorry for citizens who elected him.
Yep, but not all the citizens voted for him.
Maybe he is eliminating two government departments that had become self-perpetuating bureaucracies. Best case.
LA citizens have started a recall effort against him (I didn’t know that LA city had that provision) and the deputy attorneys working under him are rebelling at many of his actions and have taken him to court on some of these issues. I agree with you on your basic point, but I’m glad to see a strong (if belated) response to his horrible policies by the citizens of LA.
Great, Hope the defund all the police. If people are stupid enough to elect these idiots then they get what they voted for. I hope every cop in the city quits to save their lives and the whole city burns to the ground. Until these folk understand the ramification of their vote they will keep doing stuff like this.
I suspect the worst case . . .
San Antonio’s Bexar County also elected two Soros funded DA’s in a row, although neither is as extreme as Gascon. Here in our adjacent county it’s still law and order all the way for DA and judge’s elections. People shouldn’t be surprised when these guys do what they said they would do. It reminds me of the evangelical never Trumpers for Biden who are now shocked at what he is doing. You asked for it, and now you’re getting it good and hard.
Reminds me of this, from another post:
Los Santos actually has police officers, though. You can’t even throw molotov coctails within city limits without going to prison for three hours.
Boy, are they STRICT! (Blazing Saddles reference…)
I tried being a sniper once. It was amazing how hard it is to escape when you’ve got cop cars and helicopters chasing you. I even crashed a corporate jet I stole because I took a hail of bullets as I tried to lift off the runway . . .
