As suggested by She and anonymous, let’s use this thread to report your bugs, ideas, and feedback on 2.0. We’re reading it and our grateful for your suggestions and your patience.
3/23/ Update: We are aware that several new problems have cropped over the weekend, and existing problems with the podcast feeds, formatting, search, messaging, and alerts have not been addressed or have broken again. We also are aware that many of you have not seen your old posts appear on the new site yet. We are looking into all of this and will have a status update on these issues posted by Monday PM PT.
We will get all of this fixed. That’s a promise.

Apparently some conversations from 1.0 were not ported over? I can’t find some of the threads I was following.
After navigating the minefield of 504 Gateway Timeouts, when I go to my billing info, I see “Nothing to Update. You are NOT a paid member.” And despite my screen name appearing in the upper right corner (“Hi!”), I appear to be about to post this as “Anonymous” with no avatar.

It’s hard to tell because the layout of the main page makes it so hard to figure out who’s posting what and when.
Conservations and posts made on Sunday seem to be missing.
Ok, so I see I am not Anonymous after all. But what gives with the billing info? The all-caps NOT is a bit bracing. Also, I don’t think we got a straight answer on the last podcast as to what status do existing paid members have, and for how long?
site also seems to crash my ipad safari browser a lot.
I imagine it will take some time to get all the threads moved over. But I think they’re coming.

We are still migrating content over from the old site (had to stop due to the 504 errors), so if there are old posts of your that have not appeared, give us another 24-48 hours.
There are indeed lots of rough edges to be smoothed out in terms of design and functionality. You will see that addressed in the coming weeks.
I think I like it, but the 504 errors are making the site unusable. Every time I do anything, 504 error, or at least 8 times out of 10. So click the listing in my favorites and sometimes I get back to where I was when the error occurred, sometimes have to do it again. Tried to upgrade membership and it vanished into 504 Gateway error space.
Oh well, I assume that will get fixed quickly and I will become a happy camper at the next level of membership with the ability to drone on for 400 words, Yea!

I cherish this community. But I fear this update may kill it.

Follow-up – Mostly like the graphics and look of the site. I’ll let it percolate in for a couple of days and likely my system engineer beast will decide I see ways it could be better, and I’ll annoy people with them. For now, just glad site is back up, so I can cause the usual amount of time I spend here to vanish. It gets me in trouble with my better half, when something she wanted slides down the memory hole, because I was lost perusing Ricochet. 2 will just make that issue worse. (Course I am planning to gift her a membership for her birthday, and maybe she’ll become as addicted to this site as I am, and spend more time here and less on Townhall, Facebook or various web games where she is now!)
Giant overbearing “More” buttons are the new “in” things and so the Ricochet brass are going to try them whether you like them or not

We’re harsh because we tried to help out the “beta” site so that all these “kinks” would be taken care of. But most of our suggestions were seemingly ignored since most of the things we pointed out as problem are still present. And by “we,” I mostly mean Don Tillman. All I did was tell them I hated nested comments.
So is the Reagan Level Membership at $399 the same as the Platinum Membership at checkout for $499?
