Biden Confused by Free Speech
Evidence provided by Biden campaign of terrifying protesters flying American flags on a public highway, new Covid-19 restrictions expected in response.
“Rather than engage in productive conversation about the drastically different visions that Joe Biden and Donald Trump have for our country, Trump supporters in Texas today instead decided to put our staff, surrogates, supporters, and others in harm’s way,” Biden campaign Texas communications director Tariq Thowfeek told news outlets, confirming several events would be canceled in the state.
“Our supporters will continue to organize their communities for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot, and to the Texans who disrupted our events today: We’ll see you on November 3rd,” Thowfeek said. The campaign also told other news outlets that the events were canceled out of an abundance of caution.
In some reports, Biden personnel claim a minor collision between a protester vehicle and a Biden staff vehicle, and an attempt to run the bus off the road. Police wrote no tickets, made no arrests, and no vehicles were run off the road or disabled. It’s not like they were traveling in a lawless wasteland like Portland, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Oakland….
After billions in damage, dozens of murders, hundreds of burned-out city blocks, thousands of shuttered businesses, and millions of jobs destroyed by his astroturf rioters, Joe has finally discovered where he draws the line on free speech. Antifa is just an idea. Texans, though, Texans are obviously extremist terrorists. The man who has tacitly supported the use of frozen bottles, Molotov cocktails, and laser weapons with impunity against America’s police now draws a line.

I had a wonderful experience after church yesterday. As we left the building, a Trump Rally was passing in front of the church. I don’t know when it started, but it lasted for twenty minutes from when we started watching and a number of us cheered them. It gave hope to us watching that maybe New Mexico isn’t completely lost to the Burn, Loot, Murder crowd. The biggest issue for us as we watched the multitude of cars drive by was abortion and defending the unborn. Trump has delivered on that front completely and Biden would do all he could to erase Trump’s progress.
You’re not addressing the issue that you attempted to place in front of everyone, which is — did or did not the white SUV instigate the incident by attempting to push the blue pickup onto the right shoulder of the highway?
You came to this thread hyperventilating that this was all the fault of the Trump train people, and gave us a ‘smoking gun’ that shows it was the road rage instituted by the white SUV which appears to have been driven by a Democratic Party apparatchik who created the problem. And now you don’t want to debate the video and still photo evidence, but instead want to debate the issue based on the media’s spin of the video (which some outlets have selectively edited to only show the blue pickup hitting the white SUV, and not the SUV straddling the white line between the center and right lane to try and force the blue pickup to either go off onto the shoulder or slow down).
Right now with your attempt to change the subject, you are the embodiment of Carl Sandberg’s line:

Even if we believed Gary’s tall tale, this would still be an instance of one bad apple Trump supporter starting trouble (which it’s not). And Gary still feels the need to use “thugs,” plural. That’s what the mind-virus does. Facts don’t matter. Logic doesn’t matter.

This whole thread is fascinating. Several years ago I quit Ricochet because I was banned for two days for using the term “TDS.” I still see a couple of NeverTrumpers but Gary seems to be the only “all in” one left. Interesting to see people who can change their minds based on evidence. I came back at the urging of friends.
My son and his family went to a spontaneous Trump rally two weeks ago in Newport Beach CA. Also my three grandkids were there. My grand daughter, who cast her first vote for Trump yesterday, got video of him waving at them as his car went by. No planned rally. Just a spontaneous gathering of several thousand. In California of all places.

I love how we have seen posts of raw footage that tell a story, and Gary posts 3dited footage.
You keep posting and posting and posting videos of TV people saying what they think everyone should take from the video. But you refuse to reply to the question of whether or not the cause of the incident was the white SUV, which — given that the photo of the damage to the side of the vehicle was copyrighted by the Travis County Democratic Party chairwoman — appears to indicate that it was a Biden SUV, trying to force the blue pickup off the road or back from trailing the bus, which caused the retaliation.
It’s the equivalent of the Antifa types who harass police in an attempt to get video of them reacting to claim victimhood, except that in those cases, Antifa people are filming the incidents. But here, the raw video footage, provided by a Trump supporter, shows the vehicles with the Trump signs and flags are staying in lane — it’s the one vehicle with no Trump signs at all that started the problem.
You don’t get to run into a comment thread, throw out an allegation, and then when you get responses, based on the video you posted, that you don’t like, try to completely change the subject from what we see in the video to what people who don’t like Trump say we should see in the video.
(As for the Trump vehicles being around the bus, if you’re in a Smart Car here in West Texas and you’re surrounded by 60,000-pound oilfield trucks going 75 mph on I-20, you might feel really, really uncomfortable. But they still have the same right as you do to use I-20, unless they engage in dangerous driving behavior. The only video you’ve posted apparently shows a Biden supporter engaging in dangerous driving behavior, and then the Trump supporter answers back with his own dangerous driving. But if you have a video showing anyone harassing the bus by doing dangerous driving in front of or next to it, please upload.)
In defense of the Democrat staffers on the bus who called 9-1-1 when Trump supporters’ vehicles appeared on the highway, the Democrat staffers know that had the roles been reversed (members of the Sanders/AOC/MaxineWaters/Antifa part of the Democratic party surrounded a Trump bus), the Sanders/AOC/MaxineWaters/Antifa Democrats would have ensured that violence resulted. Since the Democratic staffers had probably not seen any of the recent “Trump Trains,” the Democratic staffers would not be familiar with the non-violent and joyful nature of the Trump Trains, assuming instead that Trump supporters would behave like Sanders/AOC/MaxineWaters/Antifa Democrats (“projection” again).
As to the white SUV of the Biden campaign colliding with the blue pickup truck of the Trump Train, I’m not going to express an opinion on fault. But I will note that the “mostly peaceful protests” of the summer have showed us that the Democrat-supporting and Democrat-supported “mostly peaceful protestors” have obviously been trained in techniques for attacking others in a way that allows them to claim that the other was the aggressor. So, it is necessary to take into account the possibility that the Democratic staffer driving the white SUV knew something of how to attack without it necessarily being obvious that he was the aggressor.
I am curious why everyone assumes the white car was driven by a Trump supporter. Given that the driver is trying to insert his car between the Biden bus and the Trump-decorated pickup truck behind the bus, I would assume the white car was being driven by a Biden supporter trying to protect the Biden bus.

Other former NeverTrumpers have also seen the light, and now publicly pronounce his successful conservative record, from his nominees for the federal bench and war against critical race theory to his shift to a Jacksonian foreign policy, and even that Paul Ryan-est of victories, a tax cut.
Best of all, Trump stood athwart the left and shouted, with typical Queens flair, stop. And he did so, truth be told, more successfully than the sentiment’s original author and my 2016 presidential candidate.
Still, many who see the rising danger from the left remain dubious about the Orange Man. The most convenient argument they advance is that the excesses of the left are somehow Trump’s fault.
