Democrat Concern About Election Fraud
The behavior of Democrats over the past few years has grown more and more difficult to discern from satire. So, whenever I read something ridiculous, I think, “I wonder if this is a spoof? Hard to say.” But this quote from Adam Schiff during the impeachment trial is genuine. (If it’s not, please let me know, and I’ll edit my post accordingly.)
Apparently Mr. Schiff said the following, without giggling: “The president’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box. For we cannot be assured that the vote will be fairly won.” A Democrat accusing a Republican of possible future voter fraud is too absurd to warrant a serious response. But several possible responses leap to mind, which would be more appropriately absurd.
For example, Donald Trump could say:
- I’m gratified to hear that Mr. Schiff and his Democrat colleagues have joined me in my support for federal voter ID laws.
- In an effort to ensure the legitimacy of our elections, I’ve decided to name the Election Commissioner of Broward County as our new national election czar.
- I’ve reached out to the political team that President Obama sent to Israel in an effort to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu at the ballot box — they are experts in managing elections, apparently.
There are many others, but I’ve got to get back to work. Any suggestions to add to my list?
Incidentally, consider the fact that Mr. Schiff is suggesting that because he suspects that future voter fraud might possibly happen, we have no choice but to impeach the president now. This means that we should impeach every president because you never know. Perhaps work the impeachment proceedings into the routine inauguration ceremonies.
Is he listening to what he’s saying? Is anybody? Just incredible.
But again, taking these people seriously should be avoided. So let’s hear some appropriately absurd responses to this absurdity.

I do think we should use the fearmongering of Adam Schiff and his Democrat comrades to push for Voter ID. Seems like a perfect opportunity that we shouldn’t pass up.
He has the media on his side, and they are gushing over him and declaring him a hero. It’s the most ridiculous gaslighting I’ve ever seen.
Destroying the Democrats has to include destroying their media enablers at the same time or it’s only going to be a temporary victory.
Translation: the only fair & honest elections are those democrats win.
I really don’t remember the last time they accepted the results of a Republican win. 1988? 1984?
I am concerned about continued interference by Canada and Mexico. We need to jam the broadcast signals of CBC and Mexican radio stations. The CBC is subversive even without Don Cherry and we’ll need to get our conjunto from other sources. STOP IT NOW!!
Nope. Go back further. I could write a good argument for Rutherford B. Hayes (1877) or Eisenhower in 1953-61.
Schiff is from California. actually Hollywood, where they have no idea about things that go on in Chicago and St Louis.
Although, with the 114% turnout in Santa Ana, maybe he is not telling the whole truth.
Maybe that’s why Democrats are afraid of voter ID? They need to combat Republican voter fraud somehow?
One of Rush’s theories is the Democrats’ long-term goal is to do away with elections altogether. Schiff’s comments suggest Rush might not be wrong . . .
He’s not wrong. The left is actually talking about making voting for President Trump illegal. See this, which is not from a fringe lefty blog, but from NBC News:
Trump voters motivated by racism may be violating the Constitution. Can they be stopped?
Headline:
Dead Citizens of Chicago Demand Ballot Boxes in Cemeteries; Call for Hugo Chavez to Head up Team of Election Supervisors.
According to the leftmedia style guide, Republicans never have concerns. They have “ploys,” “tactics,” or they “seize” on issues. Democrats, on the other hand, have concerns.
So, have they gotten to you? Did they force you to use their style guide?
“The people might speak- the (expletives)”
Racist thinking, therefore voting, whether we deny it or not, just like many other forms of “thinking,” is impossible to define for purposes of barring people from voting. Likewise Catholic, Mormon, Buddhist or any other “voting.” What is illegal is denying people basic rights because you don’t like them.
Trump stood, of course, for many other things and that’s why he won. Who knows which of the various issues were paramount on any particular voter’s mind…sometimes, even the voter.?
Responses to Rep. Schiff:
Elaborate your statement please. Since Democrats have so much more experience creating election fraud than Republicans do, you are better able to explain what might make an election unfair.
An unfair election? What are Democrats planning to do this time?
Burbank is in his district
democrats want voter fraud and zero id’s.
why else push for sanctuary cities?
why push against voter id laws?
@MISTER BITCOIN
I was being sarcastic :)
A lot of Chicago is, or was, Catholic. The faith is reenforced by the knowledge that every election day, the dead rise from the grave, if only to vote.
of course
i can be dense
racist voting is illegal?
under what grounds?
Unless you’re going spelunking you don’t want to be underground. You want to be on the ground. Unless you’re traveling by air or space shuttle, of course.
