Dear President Romney,

Thanks for doing a great job as President. Please hang tough.

It’s sad that two years into your presidency, the MSM and FBI/DOJ is still investigating your campaign and other activities. I’m trying to keep score, so to speak, here are the big ones:

– Full financial forensics analysis of the Mormon Church because you visited tabernacles at most campaign stops. Where is the outrage from Congress?

– Your “Notebook of Women” has transformed into a DOJ investigation into polygamy, saying that some of the families you visited at tabernacles were, in fact, yours, putting you in violation of US law — making false statements and other ridiculous charges. The New York Times has spilled ink on the subject nearly every day since you narrowly beat Hillary. The Clinton email server barely got a paragraph.

– Visiting Mormon tabernacles in foreign countries during the campaign so they want to charge you with accepting donations from foreign nationals. The treason charge because the missions you visited were in third-world socialist countries is way out there. Which also prompted the Intelligence Community to get a FISA warrant for suspected international fraud and terrorist support activities — you fed a Muslim baby!

– The IRS has jumped on the bandwagon by investigating all your tax filings during your years with Bain. This takes the cake since the DOJ/Obama leftovers hired Lois Lerner to lead the investigation.

– A re-hash of the 2002 Olympics financials?! You saved the taxpayer millions of dollars and they accuse you of profiteering and fraud. When will it end?

On the civilian side:

– ACLU has filed multiple charges against you, the Mormon church and God for “Separation of Church and State” violations, that by accepting money from Mormons while electioneering for a government position was illegal. I think it was really the usage of the “Mormon Miracle” when the economy leaped to 3.2% GDP first quarter. The real scandal is Obama taking credit for it.

– Church of Scientology has hired a legion of celebrity-hired lawyers (thanks Tom Cruise!) forcing the release of “secret” Mormon practices and claiming that Mormonism is not a Christian religion. CNN was blasting this 24×7 during the Christmas holiday run-up.

– The National SPCA is asking a judge in Massachusetts to have all pets removed from your home while they have protesters march in front of your home with placards reading “Dog Hater” with a picture of a dog chained to a car trunk hood. Ridiculous. But I see a local judge is reviewing the case and the Massachusetts State Police are prepared to go in with an armored vehicle, stating, “will shoot all resisting animals if necessary.”

I think you should start using Twitter and take your message right to the people.

Good Luck,
@JimGoneWild

I wish I could “like” this post more than once.

It wouldn’t have mattered who won the GOP nomination in 2016: The fact that they were a Republican would be reason enough to castigate them.

Trump, Romney, McCain, George Bush 43, Bob Dole, George Bush 41, Reagan, Ike, Coolidge, TR, Taft, McKinley, Grant, Lincoln. Which one of these people is not like any of the others?

Lincoln. He had about one year of formal education in his life.

Lincoln was self-taught. He was far more learned in contrast to Trump who does not read, and has been described as a “f***ing moron” and “idiot” by Tillerson and Kelly.

I am sorry you are so bitter.

Not bitter.  Scared to death for my country and party.

No one is going to come up with a plan to slow down socialism and keep GOP power at the same time. No one sounds like Rep. Massy of Kentucky or Rep. Buck of California or former Rep. Lewis of Minnesota.

Next, get a Real Vision pass and watch the David Stockman interview.

    That is reality.

    Coolidge shrunk the government. Unique.
Ike was a general, but then so was Grant, so that’s two.
Reagan joked about having started nuclear war. That’s unique, right?
Romney is the only Mormon, probably the only one who is a prominent representative of a minority religion.
    Dole was never president.
McCain has surely done more to thwart the policies he was elected to represent than any other.
    Lincoln freed the slaves.

Which one of these people is not not like any of the others?

BUT, the important point is that Trump trumpeted the Birtherism nonsense after Obama released his long-form birth certificate.

I think Obama has YET to release his long-form birth certificate, along with his university records. It appears to have been Trump’s high profile birtherism that persuaded Obama to, under very controlled conditions, release a short form birth certificate.

Am I wrong? Do you have evidence to the contrary?

Never before or since has the head of the Harvard Law Review not published, too. Unheard of.

They are all unlike any of the others. Each person is unique. The media hate them all.

Well all but one of them are or were conservatives. One of them is a populist.

More than one was a populist. Not all, though.

Only one of them appeared on Alex Jones’ Infowars. Only one of them promoted the execrable Birther nonsense, after Obama released his birth certificate. Only one of them…. Oh, forget it. Just read my comment #7 for more information.

I’m still waiting for you to respond to my comment that Obama was the first Birther.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

There is some evidence that Obama may have said that he was born in Kenya, or perhaps that an overeager publisher put that on the dust cover.

Then it appears that Hillary’s campaign raised that issue.

BUT, the important point is that Trump trumpeted the Birtherism nonsense after Obama released his long-form birth certificate.

Obama has never taken ownership for and apologized for his lie. Just like he pretended that he didn’t know what Rev, Wright was preaching when in 2004 he asserted that he attended Wright’s church every week. And he appeared on Al Sharpton’s radio program more than once. Look up Crown Heights riot and Tawana Brawley for Sharpton’s background. Not to mention Obama’s picture with Calypso Louie.

Trump is no better. Trump appeared on Alex Jones’ Infowars.

I make a point of not listening to Al Sharpton when he comes on MSNBC.

Sharpton and Farrakhan helped get people killed.

With response to Trump on Charlottesville, Romney tweeted “No, not the same. One side racist, bigoted, Nazi. The other opposes racism and bigotry. Morally different universes.”

Trump fumbled this because he lacks civic experience, which is why I was against him. Everyone knows what he meant.

I was with you until here. Normally Romney is my hero but WTH was he on about here? Things like this make me think his critics might have a point.
“One side racist, bigoted” – No. Both sides racist, bigoted.
“One side … Nazi” – Puleeze! that word is so overused that I am going to need to see evidence. I’m open to the argument that one side is fascist, as long as we are talking about the side that wears masks and attacks legal, peaceful protesters.
“The other opposes racism and bigotry.” – Who is he talking about. The only groups in that whole ugly embarrassment that I saw opposed to racism and bigotry were the black groups objecting to the destruction of the statues and the racially-nondescript groups on the periphery. Everyone else was firmly in the “pro” side.
“Morally different universes.” – The only different universe I see is the one this tweet came from.

It was finally released, but in a plot twist only the Clintons could imagine (or hope for), the Hawaiian official who signed off in April 2011 on the released certificate was killed in a plane crash in December 2013. I’m not suggesting anything, but it’s certainly an interesting coincidence.

As far as I’m concerned, children are and should be the same nationality as their parents. American children born abroad to American parents are American citizens. End of story. And that’s why I want to change the current laws on birthright citizenship. I don’t care where children are born–until they reach the age of majority, they should be the same nationality as their parents. I don’t think the United States should assert any claim on children born here to parents whose nationality is with some other country. We need to clean this up. I think Rubio and Cruz also have some controversial issues with their citizenship. In the global village we now are, the issue is going to keep coming up until we clear it up.

But I am sympathetic to the people who wanted to see an American birth certificate. I found it a little bit insulting that Obama took so long to produce one. He might not like the part of the Constitution that stipulates the presidential candidate be 35 and an American citizen from birth, but as a lawyer himself, he should have demonstrated complete respect for the law and immediately produced his birth certificate. We ask very little of our presidential candidates so I think what we do ask should be respected and complied with. The founding fathers must have had a darn good reason to insist upon the three qualifications listed in Article 2.

To a non-lawyer such as myself, it seemed that the argument(s) was over the meaning of “natural born” citizen. I spent more time than I should have reading and listening to the arguments and Ann Coulter, of all people, summed it up well. It was the kind of lawyerly hair-splitting that makes me want to spit up, but at least she was coherent on the subject.

I think the reason Obama let it go on so long was that he could portray the “birthers” as lunatics and distract the electorate from real issues.
