Dear President Romney,

Thanks for doing a great job as President. Please hang tough.

It’s sad that two years into your presidency, the MSM and FBI/DOJ is still investigating your campaign and other activities. I’m trying to keep score, so to speak, here are the big ones:

– Full financial forensics analysis of the Mormon Church because you visited tabernacles at most campaign stops. Where is the outrage from Congress?

– Your “Notebook of Women” has transformed into a DOJ investigation into polygamy, saying that some of the families you visited at tabernacles were, in fact, yours, putting you in violation of US law — making false statements and other ridiculous charges. The New York Times has spilled ink on the subject nearly every day since you narrowly beat Hillary. The Clinton email server barely got a paragraph.

– Visiting Mormon tabernacles in foreign countries during the campaign so they want to charge you with accepting donations from foreign nationals. The treason charge because the missions you visited were in third-world socialist countries is way out there. Which also prompted the Intelligence Community to get a FISA warrant for suspected international fraud and terrorist support activities — you fed a Muslim baby!

– The IRS has jumped on the bandwagon by investigating all your tax filings during your years with Bain. This takes the cake since the DOJ/Obama leftovers hired Lois Lerner to lead the investigation.

– A re-hash of the 2002 Olympics financials?! You saved the taxpayer millions of dollars and they accuse you of profiteering and fraud. When will it end?

On the civilian side:

– ACLU has filed multiple charges against you, the Mormon church and God for “Separation of Church and State” violations, that by accepting money from Mormons while electioneering for a government position was illegal. I think it was really the usage of the “Mormon Miracle” when the economy leaped to 3.2% GDP first quarter. The real scandal is Obama taking credit for it.

– Church of Scientology has hired a legion of celebrity-hired lawyers (thanks Tom Cruise!) forcing the release of “secret” Mormon practices and claiming that Mormonism is not a Christian religion. CNN was blasting this 24×7 during the Christmas holiday run-up.

– The National SPCA is asking a judge in Massachusetts to have all pets removed from your home while they have protesters march in front of your home with placards reading “Dog Hater” with a picture of a dog chained to a car trunk hood. Ridiculous. But I see a local judge is reviewing the case and the Massachusetts State Police are prepared to go in with an armored vehicle, stating, “will shoot all resisting animals if necessary.”

I think you should start using Twitter and take your message right to the people.

Good Luck,
@JimGoneWild

I would be honored to have a life like Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio or any of the other 16 candidates. I would be ashamed to have had a life like Trump.

    I just got this LOL

“This book is very tough.” – President Donald Trump

The Bush Crime Family smashes through the layers of lies and secrecy that have surrounded and protected our country’s most successful political dynasty for nearly two centuries. New York Times bestselling author Roger Stone lashes out with a blistering indictment, exposing the true history and monumental hypocrisy of the Bushes. In Stone’s usual “go for the jugular” style, this is a no-holds-barred history of the Bush family, comprised of smug, entitled autocrats who both use and hide behind their famous name. They got a long-overdue taste of defeat and public humiliation when Jeb’s 2016 presidential bid went down in flames.

Besides detailing the vast litany of Jeb’s misdeeds — including receiving a $4 million taxpayer bailout when his father was vice president as well as his startlingly-close alignment with supposed “enemy” Hillary Clinton — Stone travels back to Bush patriarchs Samuel and Prescott, right on through to presidents George H. W. and George W. Bush to weave an epic story of privilege, greed, corruption, drug profiteering, assassination, and lies. A new preface to this paperback edition features explosive information, including the family’s Machiavellian plan to propel Jeb’s son George Prescott Bush forward as the family’s next political contender.

The Bush Crime Family will have readers asking, “Why aren’t these people in prison?”

A book by Roger Stone, soon to be indicted?  Why not quote Alex Jones or David Duke?

What got my attention on this stuff was Jeb sucked $2 million out of an Insurance company just for being on the board. No problem. This is the American way! The thing is he knew they were going to get in bed with the ACA. I’m sure he put up a big fight.

I’ve heard other stuff too. The land deals around the Rangers stadium.

You are just more tolerant than I am on this ruling class stuff.

It wouldn’t have mattered who won the GOP nomination in 2016: The fact that they were a Republican would be reason enough to castigate them.

Trump, Romney, McCain, George Bush 43, Bob Dole, George Bush 41, Reagan, Ike, Coolidge, TR, Taft, McKinley, Grant, Lincoln. Which one of these people is not like any of the others?

They are all unlike any of the others. Each person is unique. The media hate them all.

Actually, President Trump is not fat. Look as his legs and slacks. His upper torso appears to make him look heavy because he is wearing bullet proof body armor.  His jackets, shirts, and coats are tailored to fit over the armor.

This post and its subsequent discussion are really interesting. I am a fan of Mitt Romney. In fact, it’s my opinion that the steps the MSM and Democrats are taking to destroy the Trump presidency they learned in their destruction of Mitt Romney’s candidacy.

Trump actually had a significant advantage that Romney did not have: Trump’s candidacy came out of the blue and caught the MSM off guard. It’s hilarious. Unfortunately, they are also being extra vicious because they didn’t see it coming, and now they are mad, not just devious and diabolical. The MSM had a lot of time to get creative with their assault on Mitt Romney. They were calm and deliberate. They started the moment they realized Mitt Romney could actually win the presidency, something they realized early on when they heard him speak. That’s why the DNC and the national media got so heavily involved in his run for governor here. My sense was that they wanted to “take him out” so he couldn’t reach the national stage.

One thing the MSM and the Democratic Party do is divide the Republicans. The way they did this with Romney was to hang the Affordable Care Act on him. I knew this was happening when Obama came to Boston to sign the ACA. That was his way of driving the last nail in the coffin of Romney’s efficacy as a Republican candidate. Obama had reason to celebrate his political victory over Romney.

Just to clarify Romney’s relationship to the Affordable Care Act:

    (a) Romney never advocated that the plan passed in Massachusetts be passed around the rest of country. The health insurance situation in Massachusetts at that time was unique in the country, something Romney pointed out a million times over the course of his campaign.

    (b) To offer evidence for my assertion here, Deval Patrick had to spend $8 to $10 million to remake our state’s “health insurance exchange” website to comply with the ACA. If the ACA had been modeled on the Massachusetts healthcare reform law, that would not have been necessary.

We need not speculate. We have actual data points. No Republican winning the Presidency since George Herbert Walker Bush has been treated as legitimate by the Democrats and their propaganda arm, falsely posing as journalists. Until the Islamist terrorists flew planes into the symbols of our economic and military might, the dominant narrative was that a conservative Court stole the election for Bush, and that Gore was the real, legitimate winner.

Democrats will no longer credit any Republican as the legitimate President. They are simply too close to what they see as the end of their Long March to settle for one step forward, two steps back. Understand what both phrases in the last sentence mean. Understand that the underlying ideology from which these phrases come is openly promoted and embraced by “democratic socialists” in the political mainstream of a major party.

[I edited this comment to correct my inversion of the second phrase. While “two steps forward, one step back is a common phrase, Lenin used the inverse to express impatience with the progress of the revolution.]

    (c) The one thing Romney wanted most of all he accomplished in this state, even though the state legislature had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the agreement: Romney wanted a private-sector solution to the health insurance coverage problem. He and his good friend and author Regina Herzlinger, along with Charlie Baker, then the CEO of Blue Cross/Blue Shield, now the governor of the state, and Professor Michael E. Porter. This was a team of highly talented people, all of whom were committed to avoiding a single-payer system, which is what the Mass legislature dearly wanted. It was a tug of war, and Romney won. Somehow Romney’s victory for the private health insurance market became a cudgel used against him by his fellow Republicans. That was due to the excellent propaganda writing on the part of the Boston Globe editors.

The biggest reason I am a fan of Donald Trump is what we have in common: we are both admirers of Mitt Romney, and we wanted to see him become president. Trump and I saw the same thing in what happened to Mitt Romney. Trump was not just a begrudging supporter of Romney. He was enthusiastic. That’s because politically, Trump and Romney were and are a lot alike. In fact, if you liked Romney’s stand on the issues of the day, you should like Trump. Their stands are very close.

I’m hoping that Trump is ready for the next two years with the House in the Democrats’ hands. I suspect he is. I think it is going to be very ugly. He should probably send the kids and Melania off to the Riviera until it’s over.

Only one of them appeared on Alex Jones’ Infowars. Only one of them promoted the execrable Birther nonsense, after Obama released his birth certificate. Only one of them…. Oh, forget it. Just read my comment #7 for more information.

I’m still waiting for you to respond to my comment that Obama was the first Birther.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

There is some evidence that Obama may have said that he was born in Kenya, or perhaps that an overeager publisher put that on the dust cover.

Then it appears that Hillary’s campaign raised that issue.

BUT, the important point is that Trump trumpeted the Birtherism nonsense after Obama released his long-form birth certificate.

Obama has never taken ownership for and apologized for his lie. Just like he pretended that he didn’t know what Rev, Wright was preaching when in 2004 he asserted that he attended Wright’s church every week. And he appeared on Al Sharpton’s radio program more than once. Look up Crown Heights riot and Tawana Brawley for Sharpton’s background. Not to mention Obama’s picture with Calypso Louie.

Trump is no better.  Trump appeared on Alex Jones’ Infowars.

I make a point of not listening to Al Sharpton when he comes on MSNBC.

I have no doubt that the MSM would do exactly that if Romney were president!

That is what gets me. The MSM is acting like expected. The Democrats are about what I expected. The NeverTrump is a surprise. I did not expect the establishment GOP to join with the Democrats as much.

I was not surprised at all. Years ago, someone asked a Southern politician whether he wanted a third party in America and he answered, “Boy, I’d be happy if we had two parties in America.”

I had the opposite expectation. The eGOP is materially threatened by the chance Trump might delivery on any of his campaign promises. It’s the left’s descent into madness that I wasn’t expecting.

I wish I could “like” this post more than once.

Lincoln. He had about one year of formal education in his life.

Lincoln was self-taught. He was far more learned in contrast to Trump who does not read, and has been described as a “f***ing moron” and “idiot” by Tillerson and Kelly.

I am sorry you are so bitter.
