Video of the Day: Coming Out in 2017

I have been watching Candace Owens’ story for a while. It is fascinating. She was harassed as a teenager, and immediately celebrated as “uber victim” — black, female, and bullied. However, when she tried to look deeper into the so-called anonymous white bullies (how can they be white and anonymous?), she was a (real) victim of character assassination by the media at large.

Her story is fascinating. This video is just a short example of her new found conservatism, activism, and humor.

What do you think?

P.S. if you are interested in her story, check out this video:

She was a guest on one of the podcasts a couple of weeks ago.  Very impressive.

In another thread someone mentioned gamer gate and I wanted to link to the Ruben video.

She’s a recent discovery of mine and one I am happy to have made.

    Andrew Klavan’s show, at least.

Did you watch the extended video?  That kind of ordeal at that young an age either leaves you in shambles, or very clear on who and where you are.  I admire her.

I looked at that and saw the running time. An hour-and-a-half? No way I can take that time. But maybe just the first few minutes…

An hour-and-a-half later, I still wanted more. (And I had already been to her channel and heard her on Klavan.)

She’s over the Social Autopsy thing, then? Glad to hear it.

The response to that effort from some on the left served as her red pill I think.

Doesn’t it make a good start to the conspiracy theory that a lot of the bad trolls are plants. If I remember correctly, due the the way some things were phrased, it kinda of made it sound like unmasking trolls would “ruin everything” which might make one think that that is because all the really nasty things targeted at certain people are fake. Sounds like a really good plot to defraud the public and ruin the internet of free ideas.

I just watched her interview with Rubean last week after having seen her videos pop up on my you-tube feed over the last fee months I finally watched her. I really like her. She is sharp and really clearly explains things that comes off natural and blunt. She has a way of getting to the core of the issue and not beating around the bush and searching for the thesis statement in language that anyone can understand. She is going to be a star for a long time and her goal is to speak to other side and not just speak to conservatives.

Mrs. Rodin and I watched the videos and she kept saying “I said that, too!” Methinks she is my wife’s sister from another mother.

I think there are a lot more black Americans with a more conservative outlook than we have any idea. They stay disguised and silent, I think, because when they come out they’re more viciously attacked by the left than any other people are.

I’m praying for this sharp, lovely, very engaging young woman.

And also because real-life conservatives tend to be busy actually doing stuff, rather than complaining loudly, which gets nothing done.

Okay, I’m just gonna say it: Here’s one Ricochet reader/viewer who wishes she were gay! I mean, how lovely can you get? And self-possessed. And sharp. That’s why she’s funny. Made my week.

She goes into detail about the experience in the first few minutes of the podcast with Dave Ruben.

The substance of her charges is explosive and the fear she generated in the Clinton et al camps tells us a lot.  Is it not possible to develop what they feared she’d do?  How much of the narrative that Trump is a racist misogynist is trumped up ( the word now as real meaning)  by these systematic efforts on the left?
