Tucker Carlson on Trump and DC Republicans
Last night a friend of mine (a former Ricochet member) e-mailed me the following video clip. This clip is of a speech that Fox News host Tucker Carlson gave to the International Association of Fire Fighters back in March:
His description of DC sounds much like academia, and just as with Republicans in the former, most academic Republicans can’t stand Trump either. It is a matter of social class snobbery? Perhaps. But despite being an academic myself, I’ve never harbored such elitist attitudes. Blame it all on my roots.
I laughed when Carlson described life in DC involving regular two-hour lunches for which he never paid. Can confirm from my days working on a congressional staff aeons ago.
Will DC Republicans ever wise up? Don’t count on it.

What do you have against other cities in the country?
Alaska and the middle of Nevada seem to have a lot of nice empty space.
Put them in a place that has no latte and no Panera.
And the heat from November to April.
