Join Ricochet; Get in the New York Post
“Okay,” you may have said. “So there was that one Ricochet member who was on Fox News last week to talk about a post he’d written for the site. Stuff happens. Big deal.”
Well, stuff happens a lot around here. On Thursday, member John Kluge wrote a piece explaining how he — a life-long conservative — has come to support Donald Trump. It caught our editorial staff’s eyes and was promptly promoted to the Main Feed, where it quickly garnered over 300 comments and a lot of great conversation. But that wasn’t the end of the story. Two days and a few emails later, this happened:
And if you’re wondering:
Would you like to appear on Fox News or have your work re-printed in the New York Post? Well, you have to become a member of Ricochet first. (And, yes, we’ve got plenty of room for folks who don’t care about such things, too.)
Get some skin in the game. Join the conversation.

I’ve still not got a mug. And I need one to show off at work.
Congratulations John. I saw it this morning in the newspaper. I get the Post delivered.
If I can find the time, I do want to respond to your points, some of which I agree with and some of which I don’t.
All they had to do was join Ricochet and write for the monthly topic. ;)
John Kluge, this is a great article; I agree completely. I am so frightened for Trump this week. Did you see that Romney today ever so reluctantly admitted he would accept being “drafted” as the nominee at the convention? A proven loser and now, a traitor to the people. #neveromney.
Traitor to the people, huh? Forgive me, but this is why Trump scares the ____ out of me.
A person who joins Ricochet on March 3, 2016, posts a single “apologia pro vita Bucinum” (or is it Trumpi?) gets a piece in the NY Post on March 5, 2016 and goes dark immediately and never posts a response to any comments sounds like a set up by a Washington Lawyer acting as a shill hired to dissemble.
I’ll be amazed if he posts again.
We have been in touch with him and he says he will be posting again soon.
After you were in touch with him.
Wait… what?
A man has free choice to the extent that he is rational.
Hoyacon (ps, love the name). It was said much better, months ago in a Rico podcast I think by Jonah, This is how I heard it….”the Trump supports will be so sorry they trusted The Donald. maybe not in Nov 15, maybe not in Mar 16, maybe not by Dec 16 even, but he will break your heart in a way that you’ll feel sick for a long time. Its only a matter of time.”
Good for him, I guess, but the media is always looking for stories by what turn out to be faux conservatives who decide to leave the tribe because the movement has become too reactionary, malevolent, racist or some such nonsense. They then hold him up of an exemplar of how the movement has gotten so far off track that it has begun to alienate its own. Mr. Kluge falls squarely into this camp, with one exception. He has “left the movement” to follow a reactionary con man.
Based on his article, I doubt he was ever much of a conservative to begin with so his support is no loss to us. His article essentially boils down to, “I am tired of the Party backing losers! This time I am going with a winner!” If he knew anything about being a conservative, he would know that our favored candidates rarely ever make the national stage bc of weak leadership at the top. That he confuses the two camps tells me all I need to know about his leanings. Enjoy your moment in the sun Mr. Kluge.
Whittaker Chambers believed he’d joined the losing side after he left the communists and became a conservative.
Hey John. Not too many of us get invitations. Please take advantage.
Can I play myself? Or Kate Upton would be okay.
Quite the welcome for Mr, Kluge! Congratulations.
