Darwin Theory Tested

A group of vegan protesters outside a meat plant attempted to stop a truck delivering to the plant. However, they didn’t realize (or never considered) that a 35,000- to 40,000-pound truck, can’t stop quickly.

Fortunately, nobody was actually maimed or killed in this game of chicken. Maybe the human instinct for survival overrode (finally) their political beliefs.

I was expecting a dark smear on the pavement where once a Vegan stood. Alas . . .

I don’t know about Darwin, but this is pretty near suicidal stupidity.

The early part of the video also shows what looks like someone (assumed to be an activist) walking along the right side of the truck.  He is kept out of the frame as the video progresses.  I wonder what he was doing?

I was kinda hoping he was chaining himself to the truck – in the driver’s blind spot … Mayhem and gruesome death to quickly follow..

Oh, and Rita Rudner once hired the Vegan Moving Company, but they didn’t have the strength to lift anything.

With the way he launched off the red, he wasn’t about to stop, either.  He communicated effectively.

I saw it too. Thought maybe he was trying to open a panel or attach something. Don’t think those trailers have side panels.

This has apparently been going on for years at the Fearman Slaughterhouse in Ontario.  In 2020  a 56 year old frequent protestor managed to get herself run over and killed.  Her husband filed a 5 million dollar lawsuit last year.  This particular sort of protest strikes me as exceptionally stupid as it’s simply calling the bluff of the vehicle driver.  If you recall, a similar protest some years ended up with a protestor losing both legs to a locomotive.  (I mean, standing in front of a truck is dumb but a train?) BTW, the truck driver was only charged with careless driving, and a month after the accident protestors were charged with a new law specifically targeting the protests.

I wrote about this phenomenon early in the COVID craze – there was a group of protestors standing around on an interstate, one of them got hit by a car, and the rest of them seemed shocked at her serious injuries.  They were wearing surgical masks to protect them from COVID.  While they stood around on an interstate highway.

And remember, those people are eligible to vote.

Its probably fortunate for the driver. He’d probably be upset killing someone, and he’d certainly have hassles with police and insurance.  Possibly a lawsuit or 2…

I liked the videos of French drivers getting out and dragging the narcissists to the curb and threatening them not to return to the road.  I also enjoyed seeing French and British cops lifting idiots who had Crazy-glued their hands and seat bottoms to the street.

These kinds of activities should carry the same draconian legal risks that attend abortion mill protests.

The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally remove themselves from it in a spectacular manner!

But only if they do it BEFORE reproducing.
