Isn’t it “messieurs”?  And I think “aller solo” would cause Frenchmen to scratch their heads, even if you wrote, “vont solo.”   But my French lessons ended fifty years ago.

Google Translate has failed me.  One of our French speaking editors will be along shortly to clean up my mess. In the meantime, please buy a mattress or a razor.

You have a contributor living in France and didn’t tap her for the translation? That’s self-induced punishment if I’ve ever seen it.

I tried. Could not get a hold of her. It’s France, after all.

Before seeing that little misplaced accent aigu, I thought perhaps James was trying to seduce his brother-in-law over to the Dark Side by inviting him to do the blurb.

    ‘Blessent mon coeur,

    d’une langueur,

    monotone.’

If we only had Ike, Bradley, Patton et al to take today’s theatre seriously and deal with it. Reagan would have had a decent riposte to Putin’s 4 hour propaganda show and public insult to make sure that also the public would know that we are no pushovers.

God, it sucks having a vile, leftist, precocious leadership on our side to misguide the free world. How could we all let this happen?!

Apropos, Jonah seriously cannot call the French ‘surrender monkeys’ anymore if he looks even closer at their open resistance to both Iran’s demands and how Les Américains have acted in the negotiations for more than two and a half years. Allez Les Bleus! Please do not stop showing that deluded ideologue and community organiser some flying colours.

Scott, I had a nightmare at 3:00 am about Ricochet. There was a typo in one of my posts and I couldn’t edit it. I woke up with a start and rushed to my computer to check.

Now I see it was much, much worse.

–Every second we’re talking about the Scooby Van parking in a handicapped space, every second we’re talking about HRC not tippling at Chipotle, we’re not talking about the crimes and incompetence of this woman.  Are these “mistakes” spontaneous, or contrived to keep us busy and distracted?

–As per THE INTERNET, the supposed $29/wk  SNAP allotment Gwyneth Paltrow suffered through would seem to be half of the actual $196/month//4 SNAP allotment.  Are there not other public assistance benefits that can go towards food as well?

    –It’s pronounced “Mo-she-ach”  (Moschiach; Messiah).

–Wow, Jacques Necker?!  I only know that name because I remember eating a a cafeteria in/near a hospital with that name.

I wonder if Rob’s decline in the divorce rate might simply be an artifact of fewer people bothering to get married in the first place.

Rubio makes for a great candidate, but very little indicates he would make a good president.

He seems like he would have similar compassionate conservative policies to GWB.

Countering James Lilek’s concern that the culture is going to pot, Rob Long cites the statistic that divorce rates are actually going down.  He thinks that Millennials are reacting to the fallout of broken marriages.  That may be true.  Future studies will probably ferret out the reason for this reduction in divorce.  However, I think the more likely reason is that marriage itself is becoming less common.  It stands to reason that those who are less committed to the idea of marital commitment and constancy simply don’t get married in the first place.
