We got a convoy and are headed North this week! First we meet the man who plans to restore sanity to James’s home state, Kendall Qualls. He hopes to combat the juvenile delinquents trapped in grown-up bodies who’ve been running the Gopher State into the ground. Then we head beyond the border to chat with Ezra Levant of Rebel News, who gives us the 411 on the Canadian truckers who’ve got Justin Trudeau shaking in his bossy boots.
The hosts also talk science™ and wonder why she keeps changing her mind; Stacy Abrams revealing photo-op; and, of course, some Super Bowl picks!
Music from this week’s podcast: Truckin’ by Dwight Yoakam

TWW @torywarwriter, what’s the over/under on this emergency declaration? I see sturm und drang, and four provinces condemning it.
I assume that there’s no Kent State in the offing. Just the military finally being kaboodled into driving some heavy equipment and apologetically explaining that they’re going down the street whether the trucks are there or not, etc…
A friend of mine and I are talking it right now. It looks like the PM is trying to upstage the Premier in ordering the police around.
Short of actual tanks, does the military have stuff big enough to move those trucks and trailers?
Dang! Good stuff. Yay, team!
You don’t have to move them if you can damage them beyond the truckers’ insurance/ savings. And I bet none of their insurance covers this.
That would depend too on whether they’re working/driving for other companies, or if they are independent owner-operators.
My guess is that only O/Os are there. Right?
Maybe. But at least some of the larger outfits must be ticked about this nonsense too.
What kind of idiot can believe that Canadian demonstrators have any interest in Donald Trump?
For that matter, what kind of idiot can believe that the “Dukes of Hazzard” flag means anything to Canadians? (Now, if this were the Louis Riel flag, they might be on to something.)
This is where it’s important to distinguish between “upstream progressives”, who knowingly spread stories they know are nonsense; and “downstream progressives”, who are credulous, ill-informed, and eager to believe nonsense if it strokes their ego.
The Louis Riel saga is a lot more murky and nuanced than the Dukes of Hazzard meme so if you’re trying to get illiterate progressives all frothy, a Confederate Flag is the right dog whistle.
I would have thought the idea was to avoid giving your enemies ammunition to attack you with.
