Ricochet is the best place on the internet to discuss the issues of the day, either through commenting on posts or writing your own for our active and dynamic community in a fully moderated environment. In addition, the Ricochet Audio Network offers over 50 original podcasts with new episodes released every day.
Big, big news this week! And even if we’re a few days behind, fashionable lateness is sort of our style. To ensure thoughtful novelty, we’re joined by legal scholar Adam White, who is able to channel his Iowa everyman to take us through intricate legalese and manages to put it in plain English. He evaluates precedents, the new political questions, and the litigation to come.
The gang (including Ricochet substitute extraordinaire Steve Hayward, filling in for hooky-playing Peter) talk JD Vance’s win in Ohio and ponder the Trump endorsement test, and James stumps the guys with a Q about epoch-ending innovation. Let him know your thoughts in the comments.
*Sadly, there’s no music from this week’s podcast. Some legal trouble has us a bit spooked about potential violations. And with that in mind: if there’s ever been a time to join and tell your friends about Ricochet, this is it! Take advantage of our bigly offer (use the promo code “future”) and meet Rob and James in New York City next Saturday!

What is the purpose of live-streaming when you are going to completely ignore questions that are submitted? A discussion was on going about Trump and the election steal was mentioned. I asked on the live chat about their reaction to 2000 Mules, but was ignored. The live chat, as I saw it, had no other questions. What the heck?
Mr. Long’s discussion of Trump and the Georgia primary was interesting. 2000 Mules (the movie) had video of ballot box stuffing for the special Senate election after the November election, as well as the November election. Brian Kemp and his team did nothing to stop it. Two elections in the space of two months brazenly corrupted in Georgia. I have no doubt they are attempting it again, possibly using democratic NGOs and mules to elect a faux Republican (Kemp), in the primary. Unbelievable, if it had not been conclusively shown it in the movie.
Sorry, Boney. Normally the behind the scenes chatter between the hosts and producers is in one Slack channel and we’re able to coordinate better. When we have special guest hosts, communication becomes a little more scattered and complicated.
I myself hadn’t heard of the movie. I don’t know if the hosts had either, but we didn’t mean to ignore you.
Thanks for the acknowledgement, but a very weak explanation. Does the live chat not appear on the screens of the panelists? I have seen panelists refer to questions in real time on Three Whisky podcast.
I’m pretty sure “Black Hole” is two words.
It does, but most of the time, the audience chat is just that: a chat between audience members with nothing directed at the hosts. So we’ve gotten a bit complacent about monitoring it.
Going forward, we’ll try to pay more attention to what’s going on in the chat as we record the show. Zoom also has a dedicated Q&A section and we can make better use of that too.
I also wrote my question in the Q and A section. So I had it in two places. Thanks again for responding.
Noted and corrected. Thanks!
Good to know that Minnesota banks don’t have coin-counters yet.
And those CoinStar machines usually didn’t take a percentage if you got some kind of a gift card. I think including for the store you were at.
Not all styrofoam clamshells were bad. The McDLT was a great idea!
James’ “brute force” comment around 18:00 is dead-on. Ignore that reality at your own peril.
The Plan B pill solves 99% of this. Some Republicans think it’s the same thing as RU-486.
The Black Hole — so that’s where Peter Robinson went…
…
The Black Hole? I wonder if anyone is still alive from that movie.
Wow, only seven actors, and two uncredited voices and one other.
Joseph Bottoms (born 1954), Tom McLoughlin (born 1950), and Gary Nelson (born 1934) are apparently still alive. Yvette Mimieux just died in 2022.
The live stream worked? I kept getting error messages.

Worked for me, one other person was on live chat. Seemed strange to me that there was so little participation.
I think Rob’s grasp on GA conservatives is simply amazing. It is like he is not part of the bi coastal population of the nation. It is utterly amazing how such an outsider can be so on the nose!
Or
Maybe the whole situation is more complex than that. Maybe voters vote on other things besides endorsements. I mean, that is what I and other GA conservatives that I know are doing.
I don’t know. I just have 52 years of living here.
Also,
Roberts is not a conservative. He is a coward who is easily intimidated by the left.
He has demonstrated that in the past and his poor response now is as well.
It is totally pathetic.
To this day, whenever I hear or see the name, “Maximilian,” the robot comes to mind. That was a fun flick – I must have seen it a dozen times. That means it was on HBO/Showtime when I was growing up then.
I made this a while ago, for a different thread…
So what exactly did you guys do that got the company sued?
If you’re going to beg for money at least fill us in on what we’re covering. Stick it in a Member’s Feed post if you must.
It’s not all that difficult to do a google search for “lawsuit vs silent cal productions” for example, but the details may only be available to lawyers who belong to the information services, or whatever.
But we’ve been told that there was a photo on some post, that wasn’t properly licensed. And while the photo was all over the internet, the photographer, who hates conservatives, only sued Ricochet.
Searching isn’t hard, but you have to know the right criteria to get useful results. Google may be powerful, but it doesn’t read one’s mind.
Regarding notification of who was suing and why, I haven’t seen or heard it, thus I asked. Can you share a link for me?
Here we go. If any of the rest of you are curious about the lawsuit referenced here I was able to find the case name “Todd Bigelow v. Silent Cal Productions, LLC et.al” via a Google search using the following criteria: lawsuit against Silent Cal Productions.” This search returned case results in the first few returns. Similar results were not produced using these criteria using Duck Duck Go or using criteria such as “who is suing Ricochet.com” or “Ricochet.com lawsuit” using Duck Duck Go or Google in prior weeks.
The suit relates to a copyright infringement issue.
Enjoy!

Thank you.
That’s because Ricochet isn’t a corporation, Silent Cal Productions is.
So, when is Rob going to set up the GoFundMe account so we can bail Ricochet out?
And then how quickly does GoFundMe shut it down because it’s conservative?
Shhhh! Don’t tell them . . .
Is there a Zoom link for this week?
I’ve been seeing it at the top of most pages, but it’s probably too late now.
