Mike Lee and Limbaugh

Got a post-debate hangover? We’ve got the cure with this week’s installment of the world-famous Ricochet Podcast. On deck for today’s installment: Ricochet Editor-In-Chief Jon Gabriel sits in for James Lileks and we welcome two powerhouse guests — Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) who recaps the debate, the House, Iran, and yes, mayonnaise.

And then, our old pal David Limbaugh checks in with another typical low energy podcast hit. Come on David, perk up!

Music from this week’s episode:

I Lost My Sugar in Salt Lake City by Johnny Mercer

We always call EJHill.

The opening sequence for the Ricochet Podcast was composed and produced by James Lileks.

David Limbaugh:Peter: Your question about Cruz’s likability is very fair and one I hear from various people.

    David,

    1. I agree with every point you make, and hope that you’re right–and would add that I’ve been fortunate enough to get to know Ted Cruz a little over the years. He’s a glorious human being.
    2. Still. “He does truth be told come across to me as a used car salesman,” a quotation from the post by Peter Fumo, above, and that’s from a Cruz fan. We’ll just have to wait for the primaries to see how much of a problem for the good senator this is going to prove.
    3. Nothing further. I just wanted to have three points.

Why did no one challenge the woman earn 77% of what men earn statistic cited by Becky whatever her name is? I thought that figure has been debunked.

I think it’s hard to remember and respond to every one of the lies. So some are overlooked or ignored in the flow — my only guess, because, as you say, it has been debunked and it is a deliberate, demagogic lie.
