How do you take your Tonx?
Drip? Pour Over? French Press? Or grounds tucked in the lower lip?
CLXXV, 4/XXV
In fact, as time goes one our specs have gotten smaller and slimmer. A fantastic development for us coke bottle types.
Coke bottle glasses? I have no sympathy, Casey. When I got my first pair in 5th grade the Hubble engineers came by to marvel at the lenses. Contacts saved my dignity.
Wait, there is already a like button!
I hate to burst Rob’s bubble, but the lowest strength reading glasses is 1.0, not 1.5.
The glasses thing is only devastating when you never needed them before, I’ve been wearing glasses since the 4th grade
My Lenses were so thick and heavy that they would contantly slide down my nose and the frames were always too big for my face, (yes it did wonders for my self esteem to have to wear these during my middle school years) . The glasses now are great. A friend of mine sometimes wears non prescription glasses for “the look”. I should dig my old pair from the 6th grade and see if he’d want to wear those for “the look”
60 Minutes did a nice piece on the Italian monopoly producer that ensures the price of prescription eye glasses are artificially high.
Get on it, Mr. Long

Luckily, this comment was too blurry for me to read.

Wait. Hold on folks. My lenses were so thick that, as a ten year old, I needed a neck brace to keep my head up.

I looked down my nose at this comment.

In July 1914 the entire nation of France, especially their media (which at the time was solely newspapers), was transfixed by a sensational murder trial.
When the trial was over, everybody snapped to and realized they were about to be invaded by Germany. Nobody had a clue that the nearest thing to The Apocalypse was about to descend.
Good thing the only thing going on in the world today is the Zimmerman trial.

We used to fill my lenses up with booze and challenge the frats.
Drip? Pour Over? French Press? Or grounds tucked in the lower lip? ·21 hours ago
My guess:
Peter prefers a drip (Mr Coffee I bet).
James lingers over a pour over.
Rob’s houseboy delivers a french press to the bedside table.
And Yeti eats his beans with a spoon and milk.
I shot this on a Canon 5D MRKIII ….. for what it is worth.
I can’t wait to show this to my kids. So cool.
PS – I’m very jealous of people who can do stuff.
Thanks Casey ….. as for jealousy this stuff is incredibly hard to shoot. Not to build myself up. It takes a ton of attempts to get these shots. Most fail. What I lack in skill I try to make up for in tenacity!
Please do me a favor. When your kids see Nemo, please tell me if they say “NEMO”. Im just curious. Thanks.
Hope to have more this fall. Thanks again for your kind words.

Thanks Goddess ……. hmmmmm I don’t think Ive ever said that before.
Divers are always finding new critters in Indonesia so the names can be fun. I usually make up my own which has its own problems.
Thanks again.

Thanks Peter,
Harlequins are small (< 3/16″ ). They feed on star fish. You’ll notice on the third shot the female (on the left ) is eating an upside down star fish. Usually they tear off a leg and the star fish grows a new one.
I hope you show the video to your kids.
Take care and thanks again.

Very, very cool. My fav: the harlequin shrimp. ·8 hours ago
I was a coke bottle type until I got Lasik. Took months before I didn’t reflexively touch the bridge of my nose to push up my glasses. Now, I see 20-15 and use a 1.25 reader.

Goddess, I’m jealous I can’t get LASIK because my corneas are too steep and apparently I’d risk complications . But thank god for breathable contacts you can sleep in and rimless frames.

Chocolate covered coffee beans are a perfect food.

My glasses got me a job as nighttime security guard at an Exxon station. I was hired to protect the bullet proof glass.
That camera is a 5D MRK II (probably).

My lenses are so thick, I cause traffic jams from the glare.
When James started talking about Hitchcock, I thought sure it was going to be a segue. But it sounded like when Peter and Rob broke in and carried on, he just gave up and never finished it.
