This week, The Conservatarians — aka, Ricochet Editor-in-Chief Jon Gabriel and Heatstreet contributor Stephen Miller — eviscerate BuzzFeed over their hit piece on Chip and Joanna Gaines, the hosts of HGTV’s “Fixer Upper,” and chat about Harvard School for Government’s testy election post-mortem.
Our intro and outro music is “You! Me! Dancing!” by Los Campesinos! Jon’s song of the week is “Leave Me Alone” by New Order, and Stephen’s is “Hidden Driver” by LVL UP. One of you said the Trump campaign called itself a vehicle for the alt-right.
Document that or retract it.
I am definitely not of the Alt-Right. However, I found it disquieting and unfair that Jon and Stephen have accepted the leftist meme that the Alt Right is racist. True there are avowed white supremacists who self-identify as Alt Right. But clearly, there is not everyone and probably only a small minority.
Not all Alt Rights are racists just as not all Democrats are communists. Not all black folks are Black Panthers.
Hearing Stephen and Jon accept that leftist meme was more than a little disturbing.
