We admit, it was touch and go for a while there, but GLoP is back and not a moment too soon because West Side Story, a movie near and dear to one of the hosts of this podcast is out (read his unqualified rave review here) and the podcast is all over it. Perhaps too much. We’ll leave that up to you. But fear not, loyal GLoP listeners, there’s more: one of our podcasters has a new dog, we cover (not kidding) The Towering Inferno and A Bridge Too Far (this podcast is SO cutting edge),Chris Wallace’s sudden departure from Fox News, and the guys pick the best thing they’ve seen this year. Well, two of them do, anyway.

He may be honest, but is certainly a little contemptible.
If Tucker Carlson’s documentary was wrong, why didn’t Jonah say so — and say so in his Fox commentary? What could they do, fire him?
Instead he ran away like a progressive, in the process apparently trying to produce maximum damage to Fox and maximum gratification for CNN and MSNBC and Salon.
I am catching up on episodes, so am a little late to this party. Don’t listen to the haters, John! As a huge Sondheim and Spielberg fan, John could’ve spent the whole episode talking about West Side Story and it would have been too short. He nailed the review on WSS. I’d also like to suggest that they try and make a game out of each episode to see how they can fit in a reference to Christian Bale.
Six Degrees of Christian Bale?
