What I take from the conversation is that Mark Movesian equally blames Republicans and Democrats for the partisanship over the Supreme Court.
I just don’t buy it. The Republicans historically have been reacting to Democrat power plays.
And fundementally, the reason for Supreme Court, and other federal court nominee partisanship is because the the liberal wing of the Supreme Court has bypassed the constitution. Less so the conservative wing. Much less so.
Movesian only says that the court justices have looked towards their personal philosophy over the constitution without identifying that the liberal wing is mostly guilty of this.
