The podcast takes up the news of Donald Trump’s weekend—first the announcement of a special prosecutor and then the way other Republican politicians started firing at him at the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas. What does it mean? Give a listen.

At some point Trump voters have to call for a vote strike.   Refuse to vote until their concerns are listened and responded to. By both the republican and democrat establishment.

On voting, the vote by mail system is terribly flawed. The establishment has the money to pay operatives to get voters they have targeted to vote.  They bring the ballot to the voter.  “Assist” the voter as they fill out the ballot.  Then deliver the completed ballot to the vote drop off location.  Very coercive. Gives the establishment candidate an huge advantage in the election.   Yet establishment media will not report on nor speak to this practice.

On Jan 6 republican working class voters showed up on capitol hill to protest the election.  Exactly the place to exercise their 1st amendment right to assemble and petition for redress of grievances. Since it is natural for people to get unruly at a public protest, it can be argued that the constitution demands  that the authorities punish trespassing and even destruction of property offenses leniently.

Refuse to vote until the legitimate concerns of the people are heard and responded to.

I think Trump voters had Trump to listen to their concerns for four years.  That was plenty for me, even though I sucked it up and voted for him in 2020 when my concerns weren’t exactly top of mind because I knew how destructive Biden would be.

    That said… John!

The implication that Trump voters–or Republican voters in general–are too racist to vote for a woman of color is a pretty low blow.  Haley was elected statewide in the first state that seceded from the Union and thus sparked the Civil War.  She was a pretty popular governor of that Southern state . In fact, I think SC has many fervent Trump supporters.  It is certainly full of Republicans.  It has a senator who happens to also be a person of color who was elected statewide as well, and I believe he is also pretty popular with those voters.

Haley might not hit the mark to be president, but I don’t think her race has anything to do with that assessment.  I also think she’d be a great VP and not because she’s a woman or has a certain ethnicity.  Rather, she would bring some foreign policy experience to a DeSantis ticket.  (I also like Pompeo in that VP slot).

Really though.  I love this podcast.  That comment was… gross.  And very offensive.

John and the others on this podcast continue to let their distaste of Trump color their view GOP base voters. I don’t believe they can help themselves. Yes, it is often expressed in a contemptible manner.

Tucker had a report last night of a Jan 6 protester whose cancer was not treated while he was in prison.    Just awful the way working class republicans are being discarded in the US.  No Fs given.
