    It took less than 20 years for Americans to completely forget the implications of September 11, largely due to the fact that so much of what the U.S. did turned out to be emotional overreactions with disastrous long-term consequences, which I also supported at the time.  It’s going to take much more than Putin invading a corrupt, poor, buffer state to truly make a real difference in how the Europeans behave.  After all, they continue to commit economic suicide by pursuing “green” energy policies, all the while having to fund their ever expanding welfare states with birthrates far, far below replacement levels and no interest in changing that.
