You report that the Russians are only attacking with about one third of their deployed forces. The rest are not in Ukraine, but are near the border. You point out that Russia has not shut down Ukrainian communications. You also report that the Powell style of war is to hit the enemy with everything all at once and the Russians are not doing that.
I suspect this is not because the Russians have some plan where they want to bring in the extra force later as a more effective strategy. Russia does not have the resources of the US. I think the Russian Army is trying as hard as it can, but has only a limited ability to strike.
I sincerely hope so. Feel sorry for the Russian soldiers because I think that many, if not most of them, are fighting from fear of Putin and his thugs. Yelensky is correct. Putin will go straight to hell.
John,
You’re witty, intelligent, and articulate, but you do tend to monopolize the discussion and today was an especially bad example of that. At one point you asked Abe to weigh in, but then went off on a tangent yourself. I really do want to know what Abe and Noah have to say as well!
