The revelations yesterday that emerged from Congressional testimony featuring two top officials involved in the Afghanistan debacle reveal Joe Biden to be as mendacious as Donald Trump when it comes to matters of policy. Is this something new for the presidency or is this just more evidence that all politicians lie? And does that kind of lying have a corrosive effect on America’s social fabric? Give a listen.

Mr. Podhoretz, can you identify any Trump lie that was substantive and involved matters of major or practical importance. No, they were inconsequential compared to the lies of Obama, Biden and the left. As Dennis Prager often says, truth is not a value for the left. America is a systemically racist? Police are out to kill blacks? The border is secure? The $3.5 trillon budget reconciliation won’t cost anything? The lies from the left are endless.
As far as the lie that the 2020 election was stolen, is it not true that Trump won 18 of 19 bellwether counties by a large margin and that statisticians said that it was highly improbable that Biden could have won the election? Is it not true that 4 battleground states stopped counting at the same time on election night when Trump had huge leads and later found enough “votes” for a narrow Biden win? Is it not true that hundreds of eyewitnesses to suspicious activity signed affidavits, may have been over a thousand, and that not one court heard the evidence and ruled on the merits?
Trump told silly lies that made him look stupid.
The left tells lies that are damaging to the country.
Of course. Which is why I voted for Trump in 2020. But he’s still an idiot who would have beaten Biden easily if he could just stop saying silly things.
