but what about republican policy ideas for the next 4 years?   Will the DOJ assert itself and prosecute governors and mayors who withdraw police protection from US citizens living within their jurisdictions?   Will federal deficit spending be reduced?   Is the trade war with China permanent? Will unemployment insurance welfare be ended at some point?  Immigration – what is the plan for next 4 years?  How to lessen reliance on imports of Chinese manufactured items?

I do not think Trump is able to plan ahead and think thru different policies.  Think of it this way. If Trump wins, what is his plan to combat the resulting riots?  As it is, he has been able to assert zero authority in Portland, Seattle, Minnesota and now Kenosha.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?…

Will federal deficit spending be reduced?

I doubt that federal spending will ever be reduced much without a crisis or a series of bad problems.

why would you think it a good thing?  Because it exhibits a limit of federal authority, or just Trump’s authority?

Consider that the local democrat authorities are denying police protection to citizens partly to enable democrats to win the presidency, which would give them the authority over localities that Trump is not able to assert.

That is kind of the reason for wanting the deficit to be dramatically reduced.  How is the Peter Schiff forecast financial apocalypse to be avoided?
